The Amazing Digital Circus is described in the description as a psychological dark comedy with cute characters in a fun and cute world. The schtick with the characters is they normally feel or act negatively about the whole situation because they are all real-world people who got trapped inside the digital world somehow.
Most of the characters gave up on finding an exit or escape for the sake of their sanity. The newest cast and protagonist of the series is now experiencing the usual insanity of getting used to the digital world to empathize with the audience members on what the experience is like. Despite these dark themes of dark humor, censoring words, and themes of going insane, The Amazing Digital Circus is still a wholesome show in some ways and is self-aware, with the ringleader breaking the fourth wall now and then.
