Featured Matchup

Caliste Versus Supa

Two of the top three AD Carries in the LEC. The two players have battled numerous times, even before they reached the LEC. They were up-and-coming players in the ERLS. Both have had high highs and low lows. Supa was pivotal in creating the upset against BLG. Caliste has been stable throughout most of their Worlds run. Whoever gets the upper hand in the matchup will surge ahead.

Predictions

Karmine Corp 2-1 Movistar KOI

The battle between the French and Spanish will always get spicy. It does not matter what sport or esport. The fans always clash. Their last match was in the LEC Summer Playoffs. KC were the favorites. They were coming off a dominant regular season. It was in front of their home crowd. MKOI stunned everyone by defeating the French team 3-0 to reach the Grand Finals. Both teams have had up-and-down performances. MKOI started 2-0, but lost two Bo3s. KC has played for longer. They started in the Play-Ins and are ramping up. That favors them for this matchup.

LOS Versus LYON

Featured Matchup

Curse Versus Inspired

Whenever you play against an Inspired team, he is the main character. You have to shut him down. Curse will have his hands full. He kept up with Josedeodo. He was pivotal to LOS’s success against TL. The Trundle got the ball rolling. He kept up the pressure. He played around his pushing lanes to keep Josedeodo quiet. He did the same in game three. LOS had to snowball game three. They succeeded, but TL held strong. He kept his head for the rest of the game. He needs more of the same if LOS wants to defeat another LCS team.

Predictions

LYON 2-1 LOS

LOS has momentum on their side. Their dramatic game three win should give them confidence. However, they face a scarier opponent in LYON. Even if TL won the LCS split, LYON has looked better at Worlds. Their laners are more stable. Notably, Saint has performed significantly better than Quid. LYON tends to draft teamfight compositions over lane dominance. We might see similar games to yesterday’s series. LYON is better at teamfight comps than TL. If LOS struggle to end the game again, they might lose.

Featured Matchup

Kanavi Versus XUN

When we saw this jungle matchup at MSI, XUN had the advantage. His early pathing kept Kanavi quiet. He was the main reason BLG won 3-1 in the MSI Upper Bracket Finals. The Grand Final was more competitive between the junglers. Even then, Kanavi was not as impactful. XUN will need to regain that MSI form to beat Kanavi again. He is starting to ramp up. Once Kanavi gets a chokehold on the game, he never lets go.

Predictions

Hanwha Life Esports 2-1 Bilibili Gaming

HLE had a shaky start. Even their win over Top Esports had shaky moments. They returned to form against G2 Esports yesterday. The early games were not dominant. But once they got a lead, they snowballed. Zeus was exceptional. With Bin’s form waning, BLG has a top lane problem. Zeus made K’Sante look broken again. Many wondered if K’Sante was worth picking before the series. Zeus showed why teams pick it. He still had impact while behind as Ambessa. BLG has been disconnected. If they struggle again, they will face elimination for the 2nd year in a row.
