Karmine Corp Versus CTBC Flying Oyster

Featured Matchup

Caliste Versus Doggo

The two AD Carries are the focal point. Caliste has been the best AD Carry in the LEC. He earned the LEC Summer MVP. He has shown that prowess on the international stage. He has been inconsistent at Worlds. He has failed to execute in the important team fights. Doggo is another hyper-carry-focused player. Doggo took the CFO mantle after they lost four players. He has become the key piece alongside Shad0w. However, he faltered against T1. He mispositioned in two fights, and that cost CFO. The AD Carry that makes the fewest mistakes should win.

Predictions

Karmine Corp 2-0 CTBC Flying Oyster

KC has played against LCP opposition at Worlds. They dispatched MVK Esports, 3-0 on both occasions. Stylistically, CFO is different from MVK. However, they tend to focus on winning early. KC has solid early game plans. Their weakness has been the late game. They were known for their dominant teamfighting in the LEC. However, both LYON and Bilibili Gaming bested them. CFO should not reach the level of the aforementioned teams. That gives KC an advantage. If CFO can leverage early leads and teamfight better, an upset is on the cards.

Featured Matchup

Creme Versus Knight

Two mid laners with identical ratings at Worlds. Both players are pivotal to their teams. We have seen this matchup many times in recent years. The two have faced off 26 times before. Knight has significantly more wins. On paper, Knight should have the upper hand. He has been the best Chinese mid laner for a long time. However, Creme is performing better than expected at Worlds so far. He has been TES’s best player. If he can bring that form, he may dethrone Knight.

Predictions

Bilibili Gaming 2-1 Top Esports

TES and BLG met at Worlds last year. It was in the 2-2 bracket. BLG was the LPL first seed. TES upset them, winning 2-1 and knocking BLG out. The meeting today is a qualification match. The loser is not out of Worlds. The winner joins Invictus Gaming as the second LPL team in the Bracket Stage.

Historically, BLG has won this matchup. That should not change in this matchup. BLG has not been at their best so far. But TES is short-handed. They have 369 replacing ZUIAN. Granted, 369 has played well so far. Only Creme has outperformed him on TES. If Bin returns to form, he could dominate the top lane matchup. Either team can win the series, but BLG is favored.
