The Enchanted Wilds Set 18 Teamfight Tactics

Set 18: Enchanted Wilds for Teamfight Tactics is live. After a four-week PBE cycle, the set has had numerous patches. Players have had more time to figure out different compositions. They will inevitably find new compositions to run as the set evolves. For players heading into the set, we have information on the champions in Set 18. First up are the one-cost champions.

Kobuko

Traits: Spyrkin and Brawler

Kobuko is a relatively narrow 1-cost tank. While he shares his traits with Gnar, Spyrkin is not flexible. That means you will only see Kobuko in compositions that play around a Spyrkin carry. Kobuko is a decent alongside Rek’Sai for the Brawler opener.

Leona

Traits: Solar and Defender

Leona is another narrow 1-cost. Her Solar trait means she will appear consistently in Solar compositions. If your composition features Leona, look to three-star her. She will add a bonus to your comp. Otherwise, she is a decent opener with Ornn.

Ornn

Traits: Elderwood and Defender

Ornn is a unique champion in Set 18. If he blocks enough damage, Ornn will craft an artifact. You will need to three-star him to hit the artifact. Ornn can appear in other compositions as a non-three-star given he has two flexible traits. He is a decent opener with Leona.

Rakan

Traits: Fae, Juggernaut, and Vanguard

Rakan has two frontline traits. That makes him fairly flexible. He can enable both classes. However, if you index into one, you can play better champions over Rakan. Rakan will also feature in reroll compositions. There is no Vanguard one-cost pairing for Rakan, but you can play him with Yorick.

Rek’Sai

Traits: Blackthorn and Brawler

Rek’Sai is another narrow one-cost tank. If Blackthorn is not active, you will rarely see her. You will likely see Rek’Sai in reroll compositions. She pairs well early with Kobuko.

Yorick

Traits: Blossom, Juggernaut, and Summoner

Yorick has three flexible traits. Three Blossom is good for extra econ or combat potential. Zyra is a fairly flexible unit. Yorick having Summoner makes her playable in Blossom or Juggernaut compositions. He is a fairly weak Juggernaut, but his traits will see him in late-game compositions.

Teamfight Tactics: Set 18 One-Cost Melee Carries

Akali

Traits: Inferno, Adaptor, and Ravager

There were a couple of Akali compositions during PBE. However, none of them stuck. She is fairly flexible with her traits, but you can play better units in her place. Adaptor and Ravager are not flex traits, while Inferno is a mid-game flex. Okay to pair with Camille early to winstreak.

Camille

Traits: Coven and Ravager

Camille rarely fits into late-game compositions. Diana is the most flexible Ravager unit, and Coven is narrow. An early Camille can push you towards playing for Coven and loss streak. An early 2-star Camille alongside Akali is good for early win streaks.

Cinderling

Traits: Riftbeast and Hunter

Cinderling is another unit that saw playtime on PBE. The compositions fell off, and now Cinderling is mostly an item carrier for late-game units like Ashe and Sivir. Riftbeast reroll is the only composition Cinderling features in.

Karma

Traits: Blossom and Spellweaver

Karma shares her Traits with Ahri. That makes her viable on late-game boards to pair with the AP 4-cost. Karma will often carry Ahri items. Karma herself was viable as a carry, but has fallen off.

Pebbles

Traits: Riftbeast and Invoker

Pebbles is one of the best carry one-cost carries in the game. Its spell is unique. After gaining enough mana to cast, Pebbles fires a beam that consumes mana over time. The cast only ends when its mana hits zero. Pebbles is a great one-cost reroll unit and may appear in Invoker compositions.

Varus

Traits: Inferno and Rapidfire

Varus is in a fairly similar spot to Akali. The difference being that Rapidfire is a flexible trait. It grants Attack Speed to your board. Varus priority has fallen throughout PBE.

Veigar

Traits: Blackthorn, Spyrkin, and Spellweaver

Veigar is another good one-cost to consider for a reroll. However, you want to get him online as soon as possible. His AP scales with every kill he secures with his spell. Slamming items early is crucial for Veigar. He is currently the best unit to play with Dawncore or the Consuming Flora Augment.

Teamfight Tactics: Set 18 One-Cost Marksmen

Xayah

Traits: Elderwood, Fae, and Rapidfire

Xayah is the only one-cost Marksman unit. She will often be your first Guinsoo’s Rageblade user. Xayah will either be an item carrier or part of a reroll. The reroll with Xayah, Rakan, and Ornn has fallen after performing well in the early PBE days.
