LCK 2026 Round 3 Day 7 Recap: KRX’s Victory Eliminates DN SOOPers
DN SOOPers needed to go on a miracle run to have a chance at making the LCK Play-Ins. The hopes ended abruptly as they lost 2-0 to KRX in convincing fashion. DNS is guaranteed to be tenth in the LCK this year. T1 and Dplus KIA faced off in a battle between first and fifth in the LCK. Despite their positions in the standings, DK entered the series as the favorites. T1 shut DK down, ending their win streak and extending their lead at the top of the LCK. With KT Rolster and Gen.G Esports facing off later this week, and T1 playing against Hanwha Life Esports, that lead could grow further.
Back to Reality for DNS
The DN SOOPers ended their eighteen-match loss streak last week with a win over HANJIN BRION. They came crashing down to reality in today’s series after losing 2-0 to KRX. After DNS’s win last week, Sharvel mentioned that he is the best Qiyana in the world. He had a chance to back up his words in this series. However, he failed in his attempt, making multiple game-losing mistakes in game one.
It was a disappointing series for DNS, who needed the win to keep their Play-Ins hopes alive. The loss guarantees that DNS will be the tenth-placed team in the LCK, for the second year in a row. For KRX, they join three other Rise teams on seven wins, moving ahead of NS on series score. The hunt for the top three in the Rise Group is heating up, with any of the four capable of taking the spots.

T1 Dominate, While DK Slump
Even in T1’s wins this year, they have often played fast and loose. They rarely have control throughout without making numerous mistakes. T1 played carefully today, taking early advantages and extending the lead over time. There was a handful of mistakes, but none of them had a significant impact. Part of DK’s recent surge has been their botlane and jungle stepping up. They could not match up to their counterparts on T1.
Smash and Career fell behind early in both games, while Lucid lacked an impact at any point in the series. Siwoo’s Olaf dominated the lane against Doran’s Jayce, but T1 kept him at bay while they scaled into the game. T1 looked significantly better with Peyz returning to AD champions.

What Next For DNS?
With DNS’s LCK season over, what is next for the players and organisation? Do they swap in academy talent, or continue building synergy with the current roster? DNS is still alive in the Kespa Cup, meaning they still have something to play for. Their year could be over if they lose to KRX in a couple of days. The last time DNS were officially knocked out of Play-Ins, they stepped up for the rest of the LCK year. They won three series in the final four weeks, an increase from one series victory before that. After being in the World Championship final last year, Peter and deokdam do not have a chance to return to the tournament.
