LCK 2026 Round 3 Day Three Recap: T1 Recovers From the Opening Day Defeat, Beating Their Bitter Rivals
T1 started their LCK return in the worst way possible. A loss to KT Rolster, who was dealing with internal issues, stained the World Champions. They responded instantly with a win over their rivals, Gen.G Esports. The latter has yet to return to their dominant form. There is a chance Gen.G miss the top four with Dplus KIA on the rise. KRX played their second series of the week. They traded away Jiwoo to KT, getting Aiming in return. Aiming earned a win on his debut for the team against HANJIN BRION.
T1 Bounce Back Quickly
T1 suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of KT Rolster on the opening day of the LCK. They returned to action at the Gen.G Esports homestand looking for redemption. They found it, with a 2-0 victory over their rivals. That records T1’s third series win against Gen.G in 2026. They dominated game one from start to finish and came back from a deficit in the second to secure the 2-0. Gen.G was a shell of their dominant selves in the series. They barely had any impact in game one, and their mistakes allowed T1 to complete the comeback.
The win keeps T1 on track for the top four, and even a chance at first place in the standings, following Dplus KIA’s win over Hanwha Life Esports. The win sees T1 return to second place, albeit momentarily, with KT and Gen.G having one more series this week.

Aiming’s Debut Victory Off a Ucal Performance
After internal disagreements in KT Rolster, Aiming moved over to KRX, with Jiwoo heading to KT. Aiming started his KRX career with a victory over HANJIN BRION. The series did not start well for Aiming as BRO targeted him throughout game one. Even in the loss, Ucal stood tall, behind the only player on KRX with a lead. He continued that control over the mid lane, getting the better of Roamer throughout the series. He was instrumental in ensuring KRX had control over games two and three of the series.
Even in the wins, Aiming did not have his best performance. He improved on Sivir, but he still needs time to adjust to his new team. The same can be said for Frog, who is yet to announce himself on the LCK stage. After being a pivotal part of BRO’s success in the regular season, Roamer had a drop in performance against Ucal.

DN SOOPers Hanging By a Thread
With KRX’s win over HANJIN BRION, DN SOOPers’ chances for a Play-In berth have dwindled. With three teams now five wins ahead of DNS, the road is almost closed. DNS will need to be perfect for the rest of the regular season to have a chance. Even then, results have to go their way too. At least two of the three teams ahead of them must lose the rest of the series that they play. Considering the teams play against each other, that is an impossible feat. The chances are slim, but DNS still have a hope. A loss to BRO later on this week will spell the end for DNS qualifying for the Play-Ins.
