LCK 2026 Round 3 Week 10 Preview: The LCK Returns To An Unstable Meta
After weeks of international play, the LCK returns tomorrow. Round 3 sees the start of the Legend and Rise Groups. The Legend Group features Hanwha Life Esports, T1, Gen.G Esports, KT Rolster, and Dplus KIA. The Rise Group has the other five teams: HANJIN BRION, FearX, Nongshim Redforce, and DN SOOPers. The teams will battle opponents from the same group in two rounds of Round Robin.
The Shifting Meta
Ever since the end of the regular seasons across professional League of Legends, the bot lane meta has been ever-shifting. It started with Mages like Mel and Ziggs taking over. Since then, there has been the addition of other mages, assassins, tanks, and bruisers. With the meta still evolving and potential changes, anything could happen. Some teams will have spent their time practicing at international events, while others had more time to figure out the meta. Changes to the Support items could see the meta shift dramatically.
Currently, roaming supports are running the meta. Camille is the premier roaming support. She does not need levels to be powerful, can set up her team for fights, and will often fight junglers in the early game. Teams are looking to counter Camille or play champions with a similar playstyle. Shen is one of the champions that can match Camille’s roams. Alternatively, other teams have employed champions like Taric to catch Camille. She dies in all of her engagements, and Taric’s Cosmic Radiance denies any follow-up from Camille’s team.

The Race for the Post-Season
In total, eight LCK teams will advance to the post-season. The top four teams in the Legend Group will qualify directly to the Playoffs. The top two teams will start in Round 2 of the playoffs. The final Legend Group team will start the post-season in the Play-Ins. The top three Rise Group teams will join them in the Play-Ins. The final Legend Group team and the first-placed Rise Group team start in the Upper Bracket of the Play-Ins. Only two teams from the Play-Ins can advance to the Playoffs. The Playoffs are a six-team double-elimination bracket. The top four teams in the Playoffs will book their ticket to the World Championship hosted later this year.
Last time, Gen.G Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, and T1 represented the LCK at the World Championship. T1 would go on to defeat KT Rolster 3-2 in the Grand Final to become back-to-back-to-back World Champions. The same four teams look primed to return to the World Championship, all holding the top four spots in the LCK. Dplus KIA wants to challenge that throne, having recently won the Esports World Cup. Hanwha Life Esports also returns to the LCK off the back of winning the Mid-season Invitational.
