LCK 2026 Round 3 Day 6 Recap: Gen.G Esports Earn a Hard-Fought Victory
Nongshim Redforce returned to the LCK in full force. They went 2-0 in the first week, but they have stumbled already. The pattern follows Round 1, where they went 2-0 in week one, and then 0-2 in the second. They will want to avoid that when playing against the DN SOOPers later this week. Gen.G Esports snapped their bad run of form after defeating Hanwha Life Esports 2-1. The series saw a return of the late-game Gen.G from earlier in the year. There are still issues they must sort out, but the performance was better.
Mistake-Riddled Series
The story of today’s series between Nongshim Redforce and HANJIN BRION was one of mistakes. The team that made fewer errors emerged victorious. In the end, it was BRO who picked up the 2-1 win. Multiple NS members found themselves in awkward positions throughout the series. Diable, especially on Jhin, got caught out. That led to BRO regaining control over the first game.
Scout had an excellent first two games on Anivia and Syndra. He dictated the pace in game one, and almost dragged NS to a win. However, his team collapsed around him. Roamer has yet to return to his pre-MSI form. While he was better today than last week, his weak laning allowed Scout to garner an early advantage.

Gen.G Rise to the Occasion
After a disappointing first week for both teams, Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G Esports needed a win to get back on track. It would be Gen.G that stood tall at the end of the day, winning two grueling games. There were shades of Gen.G of old, a team that takes a lead and then chokes out the game from there. HLE may have had chances, but they were just that.
Chovy played Syndra for the third time in his career, but he did not falter. He ended game three deathless, with eight kills and fourteen assists. When the game looked dire for Gen.G after the Soul fight, Chovy survived and punished HLE’s overextension. Ruler, importantly, stepped up today after a weak first week in the LCK.

Both Groups Tied
Currently, four teams have 15 wins in the Legend Group: T1, KT Rolster, Hanwha Life Esports, and Gen.G Esports. T1 and KT are ahead, having played one series less, with five losses to the other two’s six. With Gen.G playing against KT, and HLE facing T1 later this week, there could be a significant shift in the Legend Group standings at the end of the week. All four teams will chase those wins to avoid the looming Dplus KIA threat, sitting at 13-7.
The LCK Rise Group also sees teams tied on series score. FearX, HANJIN BRION, and Nongshim Redforce all have seven series wins. FearX is the only one of the three with thirteen losses. KRX may join those three teams should they win against DN SOOPers tomorrow for the second series of the day. With the teams so close together, every game win matters.
