There are only five teams left in competition for the LCK MSI spots. Dplus KIA beat HANJIN BRION with a comfortable 3-0 series victory. They will now face KT Rolster in the next best-of-five series. It is the final match of the weekend. KT comes in as the favorite to advance, but DK has the momentum by their side. Their 3-0 victory should help them against KT.

KT finished in fourth place in the LCK regular season with a 13-5 record. They started the regular season with an 8-1 record in Round 1, but finished with a 5-4 record in Round 2. DK, on the other hand, ended the regular season with an 11-7 record. KT and DK have only faced off twice this year. Both matches came in the regular season, and KT won both.

Bdd Versus ShowMaker
One of the classic mid lane matchups in the LCK. Bdd and ShowMaker are pivotal members in any team they play in. Whenever KT is at their best, Bdd is the centerpiece. ShowMaker sometimes has his weaker performances, but he has been the most stable member of DK in the regular season. The mid laner that gets to impact their lanes more in this series could be the victor at the end of the day.
Round 1 or Round 2 KT?
KT surprised everyone with their start to the LCK regular season. They went eight matches undefeated before falling to Hanwha Life Esports. After that series, KT did not reach the same heights. The entire team struggled to perform consistently in Round 2. They got lucky in their previous meeting with DK, and they can not rely on that in this match. If Round 1 KT returns, they should storm their way to victory in the series.
How Impactful is DK’s Win against BRO
DK stomped their way to victory against BRO. However, BRO barely put up a fight in the second and third games of the series. The only time that BRO challenged them, they should have lost. If we take that game one performance, DK’s level is not that high. They barely had to think about what they were doing in the mid-game. Considering they struggled against KT in that aspect last time, the same concerns for the roster remain.
KT Rolster Versus Dplus KIA Prediction
Prediction: KT 3-1
Throughout the LCK regular season, KT performed better than DK. Even when KT slumped, they got the better of DK. Their series against DK was probably their worst performance aside from their loss to BRO. While DK will have confidence and momentum on their side, they barely had to break a sweat. DK losses come when they are under pressure. They will face that pressure against KT. However, KT has its own struggles with pressure. That was evident when they threw away an almost guaranteed win against T1 in the final week.
Gen.G Esports is the Next Opponent
After KT or DK advances, they will face one of the most difficult opponents in the LCK. Gen.G Esports stands in the way of DK and KT from having a chance to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational. It does not get more difficult than that for these teams. They will play that series next Saturday. If they win that series, they will face either Hanwha Life Esports or T1 for the MSI spot. The loser of tomorrow’s series will see their LCK journey end for now. DK will return at the Esports World Cup, while KT will only play again in Round 3 of the LCK.
