When T1 and KT Rolster met in the LCK Cup, T1 had a miraculous recovery in the second game of the series. T1 recovered a 10k gold lead and Hextech Soul to win the game. Today, they faced a 4k gold lead and Mountain Soul. T1 defied the odds and kept second place in their clutches. DN SOOPers earned a game win, snapping their thirty-game losing streak in the LCK.

Game One – DNS Finally Do It

DNS started well in the early game with proactive plays. Pyosik was at the center of them. NS remained competitive. DNS accumulated a significant gold lead, but then threw it away with successive errors. After an even trade in the mid-lane, both Pyosik and deokdam decided to continue fighting. They both died and gave over Baron to NS. They cut into some of the lead, but could not make a significant dent.

After another fight in the mid lane that saw one player dead from each side, NS took the Baron. This Baron was far more productive as the gold was even. NS went for a greedy dive in DNS’s base and got punished for it. With the lead back in DNS’s hands, they took the Baron and won the next Drake fight to earn their first game win in thirty-one games.

Game Two – Back to Reality

Pyosik visits the bot lane early for the second game in a row. However, Sponge responds after he leaves, earning two kills. The game was close until it was not. NS crushed the first teamfight and never looked back. They controlled every part of the game. They rarely gave up kills in the mid-game as their lead exploded. deokdam tried his best to carry, but the wallets were too heavy for him to bear.

Game Three – DNS Fade Away

For the third game in a row, DNS has an early lead. Pyosik gets his third First Blood kill of the series. With three kills, they are in a good spot. However, one skirmish later, the game breaks open. All of a sudden, with NS in the lead, their global ultimates become difficult to deal with. deokdam dies in the mid-lane, while his team contests for Drake. NS heads to the Baron, but it goes awry. They get the objective, but lose all five members. Pyosik and deokdam get caught moments later, and NS restores their lead. They never let go from that point and close out the LCK series.

Game One – T1 Bot Side Controls the Game

The top lane explodes after two plays. The first is a gank from Oner, which PerfecT turns on Doran. One gank from Bdd and Cuzz later, PerfecT gets the first turret at 10 minutes. Aiming dies to Peyz and Keria after he gets cc’d under the tower. The lane that should be winning is now behind. T1 has a couple of errant plays, but they punish Effort a couple of times. The only pivotal fight takes place on the Baron. KT forces, but they are disjointed. Cuzz goes in when his team is not ready. T1 wins the fight and takes the Baron. T1 ends the game with the Baron push.

Game Two – T1 Miraculous Comeback

Doran dies 1v1 to PerfecT, and his laning phase becomes difficult. Oner also dies early, giving Cuzz a lead. The early game continues to go sideways for T1 as Doran dies again, while Faker is constantly under pressure from Effort. Unlike game one, T1 does not have a lead in the bot lane; they can play around. With how far behind T1 is, they give up the Mountain Soul.

Faker dies in a 1v1 to PerfecT, and that triggers a Baron call from KT. It would be one of three attempts that KT would attempt to take Baron. The first is an even 3-for-3 trade. The second 4 kills to 3 in favor of T1, and the final one sees KT secure the Baron but lose four members. T1 breaks the inhibitor with their push, but does not end. The teams stand off on the next Baron. It is Keria that pulls the trigger first, finding four members with a Flash Encore engagement, to seal the deal in the LCK series.

DNS Gets Their Game Win

It has been a torrid time for DNS in the LCK this year. After a hopeful LCK Cup, the world came crashing down. After winning their first series of the season, they lost 30 games and 15 series in a row. Today, they broke their thirty-game streak after winning game one against NS. However, their quest for a series victory continues, with only one chance left against KT.

A Miraculous Recovery Keeps It In T1’s Hands

The race for the top two is heating up. At the start of the day, a 2-0 victory for T1 would put them in pole position to finish ahead of Gen.G Esports. Midway through game two, that chance seemed to have vanished. However, T1 made a miracle comeback, mainly thanks to Doran, Oner, and Keria’s teamfighting. As a result, T1 has a good chance to finish second in the LCK. If they beat FearX 2-0, they will take second place, regardless of Gen.G’s result against HANJIN BRION.
