Weekly Free Games on the Epic Games Store Aug 27 – Sep 3, 2026
The Epic Games Store offers free games each week, changing over every Thursday. They’re free to keep and include a mix of genres and even platforms. This week, starting August 27, 2026, the games include an action game in space for PC, a horse racing sim for PC and Mac, and an indie puzzle adventure for mobile.

Breathedge
The description of Breathedge reads like a dark comedy come to life through a game. The wreck of a space hearse (from which you are the only apparent survivor) leaves you to survive all alone. You’ll build your own space station and craft everything you need. And, from the sounds of it, you can craft many things you don’t need. And electrical tape is involved.
Surviving in space isn’t easy, though. You may “lose your progress in spectacular ways, including but not limited to suffocation, freezing, incineration, electrocution, depression, blunt trauma, and more.”

Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition
Rival Stars Horse Racing gives you the opportunity to own and run your own ranch. Breed and raise horses, race them, explore the ranch, and ride in cross country. Place bets on virtual races to earn rewards. Design your own horses. Manage your homestead. And capture pictures of your beautiful horses in photo mode.
It wouldn’t be a horse racing game without the horse races. You can choose to race in story mode or even multiplayer. Race tracks in the game are inspired by real-life tracks from around the world. And you can get this one for both PC and Mac from the Epic Games Store.

Mobile: Down in Bermuda
Down in Bermuda has been available for free before, but that was on PC and Mac. You can still purchase the computer version from the Epic Games Store for $19.99, but right now, you can have it for free on your mobile device.

How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store
Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device (iOS is available only in the EU), you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.
For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.
