Destiny 2 Monument of Triumph: Sundered Doctrine Weapons and Armor

|
The Sundered Doctrine Artwork in Destiny 2

Every raid and dungeon pre-Edge of Fate in Destiny 2 received gear tiering. There is a new armor set with an individual set bonus for each one. Some dungeons and raids saw their weapons get additional perks, while others got new weapons added to their pool. Sundered Doctrine has one of the best Origin Traits in the game. It was one of the most flexible that can help players in all PvE content.

There are four Sundered Doctrine Weapons in rotation:

  • Unloved – Heavy Burst Frame Strand Hand Cannon
  • Unsworn – Adaptive Frame Strand Trace Rifle
  • Unworthy – Rapid-Fire Frame Arc Scout Rifle
  • Unvoiced – Pinpoint Slug Frame Void Shotgun

Sundered is the Origin Trait for the dungeon weapon, which reads as follows: Weapon adapts to targets. When dealing damage:

  • To weak targets – shots create an improved explosion
  • To strong targets – targets become exhausted
  • To Guardians – the weapon’s flinch resistance increases for an improved duration

Exhausted targets deal reduced outgoing damage.

Destiny 2: Unloved

Unloved is a Heavy Burst Strand Hand Cannon. Thanks to the Origin Trait, Unloved is a good PvE Hand Cannon. It is the best neutral Heavy Burst Hand Cannon in the game. Especially after the nerf to Lucky Pants against bosses, there is little reason to run Heavy Burst Hand Cannons for damage. On its own, it has good Strand pairings with Hatchling and Tear, while Dragonfly and Frenzy are better for neutral play.

Destiny 2: Unsworn

Unsworn is an Adaptive Frame Strand Trace Rifle. Unsworn has always been a premier option for Trace Rifles in PvE. With Trace Rifles being a utility weapon, having Shoot to Loot can help a lot. It is the only Kinetic-slot Trace Rifle with the perk. The Origin Trait coupled with Detonator Beam can be a great way to deal with higher health targets. Lowering their damage output and increasing area of effect damage is perfect. Chaos Reshaped is another perk that you can use, or opt for the Strand options with the Tablet of Ruin artifact.

Destiny 2: Unworthy

Unworthy is a Rapid-Fire Frame Arc Scout Rifle. Once again, the Origin Trait increases the potency of the weapon. It has the option for double splash damage perks in the form of Firefly and Voltshot. Gear Shift is another option if you want to go for a damage increase instead of the extra AoE. Unworthy barely falls behind Voltaic Shade. The Equilibrium Scout Rifle has more utility options and is a better frame.

Perks

  • Column 3
    • Rolling Storm
    • Rapid Hit
    • Firefly
    • Rewind Rounds
    • Keep Away
    • Eddy Current

Destiny 2: Unvoiced

Unvoiced is a Pinpoint Slug Void Shotgun. Of the three Sundered Doctrine weapons, it has the lowest application of the Origin Trait. However, it is still one of the best Pinpoint Slugs in the game thanks to its perks. Heritage is a better option for the Redirection perk, but Unvoiced is the best in the energy slot. Fourth Times the Charm can replace Redirection if you do not need a second damage perk. Bait and Switch is the best damage option, but Vorpal is a good secondary choice.

Perks

  • Column 3
    • Redirection
    • Killing Wind
    • Envious Arsenal

Destiny 2: Flain Armor Set Bonus

  • 2-piece – Knit Together
    • Taking damage from combatants sometimes spawns a Threadling.
  • 4-piece – Sinew Stitching
    • For a short time after your shields break, your next several Threadling hits restore health.

The set bonus is very specific for any Threadling builds. Running the two-piece without a Threadling-focused build makes it significantly weaker. The sustain can be good, but there are better options. Can work with Euphony to spawn more Threadlings and increase total damage.
