Destiny 2 Prophecy 2026 Dungeon Guide

The Deadsea in Destiny 2

The June 9th update brings tiered loot to every raid and dungeon in Destiny 2. Each one will see their weapons get a loot refresh and an individual armor set. The armor sets come with their own set piece bonuses. It will be the fourth time Prophecy receives a loot refresh. That is, if you count the Rite of the Nine version. It does promise to have tantalizing weapons for everyone.

Prophecy: Loading Into the Dungeon

When you load into the dungeon, you start in The Derelict, in front of a portal. Head through to teleport in the realm of the nine. Right off the bat, you must complete a mechanic to progress. It will teach the mechanic for the entire dungeon. Take notice of your screen when you stand in light or dark areas. It will change its border based on where you stand. It is vital for the mechanic.

Killing Ravenous Taken Knights in every encounter spawns motes. The type spawned depends on where you stand. If you are in the light, you create light motes and vice versa. After collecting five motes of the same type, you create a larger version. Take it to the locked door where you see two puffs of smoke on a pedestal. Deposit the mote on the puff that matches your motes. Use your primary fire to deposit. You must clear both pedestals to open the door. Repeat the process for the second door. Afterwards, ascend the rocks to the first encounter.

Prophecy: Defeat Phalanx Echo

As mentioned prior, the mote mechanic returns for this encounter. In each phase of the boss, you will need to clear four pedestals. The first phase will always have two dark and two light pedestals in the same spot. All subsequent phases are random. Kill the Knights, creating motes, and cleanse the pedestals. Be wary of the boss’s knockback in this encounter, as you have limited space to move. After you clear the final pedestal, the damage phase starts.

During damage, Taken Hobgoblins spawn periodically. If you have a well, you can ignore them. However, without a well, you must kill them; they will cause the boss to become immune. Repeat the process for the following phase, if he is not dead yet.

Prophecy: The Wasteland

After taking the portal in the boss arena, you will arrive in the wasteland. You are on the lookout for a group of Blights. Once you spot them, make your way towards them. Your objective is to clear the three Blights. Prioritize killing the enemies, and then kill the Blights. After clearing the Blights, Toland will spawn in the middle of them. Approaching Toland will cause him to move in a direction. That indicates the next Blight’s location. Pay attention to where he moves. After you clear three sets of Blights, the door for the next encounter opens. Toland will once again show you the direction. Enter the Pyramid for the second encounter.

Prophecy: Escape The Hexahedron

The mote mechanic returns. In the Hexahedron, you want to try to flip the cube around. To do so, you must deposit motes at the pedestal under Toland. There is a chance that Toland appears above the middle. If he does, you can deposit at any pedestal. However, this is unlucky and means you have to do an additional rotation. Killing a Taken Hobgoblin spawns a Taken Knight. The process for the encounter is:

  • Look For Toland
  • Kill Taken Hobgoblins
  • Create Dark/Light motes based on Toland’s position
  • Deposit motes, head to the middle of the room to begin the shift.

After enough shifts, you will arrive at the boss’s room. Two Centurion Echoes spawn along with a handful of Taken enemies. Clear the room to complete the encounter.

Crossing the Deadsea

After you exit the Hexahedron, follow Kell Echo towards the next Pyramid. Entering will bring you into an area with plenty of Ribbon roads. You have two choices for this section. You can either follow the ribbons on your sparrow or jump across the platforms. Sparrow is more fun, but the platforms are safer. If you take the Ribbons, once you near the end, there will be a Taken Geyser that can knock you off. At the end of the road is an elevator that will pull you up to the final encounter location.

Prophecy: Defeat Kell Echo

After you head up a few stairs and pass some Taken enemies, you will find yourself at the Kell Echo encounter. Once again, the motes return. There are three pedestals in the room, which can be dark or light. Kill the Knights and deposit motes. Every time you deposit, the Kell Echo in that location disappears. A Taken Ogre will also spawn; kill them as they spawn. After clearing all three pedestals, head to the middle of the room. Here you will go to the DPS area.

The boss will be in front of you. One aspect to watch out for in this part is Dark Entropy. If you are too far from the boss, you gain stacks of Dark Entropy. At ten stacks, you die. Kell Echo also sends out a Taken wave that, if it hits you, teleports you backwards. Kell Echo will teleport after a short duration, moving closer to the opposite end of the area. The idea here is to do some damage while she is stationary. Prioritize dodging her wave and killing the Hobgoblins.

Your best time to deal damage is right at the start and at the end of the arena. If you do not kill Kell Echo, she will teleport away. Take the portal to the next arena. You will spawn in a different arena from the first, but the idea is the same. Complete the process, start damage, and kill Kell Echo
