Netflix: Holiday movies, ‘The Empress’ and Thanksgiving Eve football
Netflix‘s biggest day for arrivals comes Nov. 12, with the third and final season of “The Empress,” the Swedish holiday rom-com “The Christmas Switch” and “A Christmas Castle Proposal: A Royal in Paradise 2.”
“A Merry Christmas Wish” and the Jessica Chastain thriller “Heartland” follow on Nov. 13. “America’s Test Kitchen Friendsgiving” Season 1 arrives on Nov. 18, and “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” Season 9 debuts on Nov. 23. “All for Christmas” and the documentary “Rob Lowe: The Outsider” land together on Nov. 24.
Thanksgiving week is the crowded one. “The Mosquito Bowl,” a World War II drama about college football stars who enlist in the Marines, premieres on Nov. 25. That same night, “NFL Netflix Gameday: Thanksgiving Eve, Packers vs. Rams” streams the NFL’s first Thanksgiving Eve game live from SoFi Stadium.
“The Hunting Wives” Season 2 drops on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, and “Salish’s 12 Games of Christmas” follows on Nov. 28. The month wraps up on Nov. 30 with “Pressure” and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”
Netflix’s other November headliners include “Black Doves” Season 2 on Nov. 5 and “The Altruists,” with Anthony Boyle and Julia Garner as Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, on Nov. 19.
Disney+ and Hulu: ‘Percy Jackson’ and new ‘Mormon Wives’
“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” returns for Season 3 on Nov. 20 with a two-episode premiere on Disney+ and Hulu. The new season adapts “The Titan’s Curse,” the third novel in Rick Riordan’s series.
Disney+ also has a few holiday originals. “A Proud Family Wizmas” arrives on Nov. 14, “Mickey’s Home Alone” on Nov. 27 and “Dasher” on Nov. 28.
Hulu starts early with “All’s Fair” Season 2 on Nov. 4, the same day the K-drama “The Remarried Empress” debuts on Disney+ and Hulu. “Rivals” Season 2, Part 2 follows on Nov. 11. “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County” drops all 10 episodes on Hulu on Nov. 12, and the reimagined reality competition “The Circle” arrives on Hulu on Nov. 17.
Peacock: ‘O.J.’s Accomplice,’ ‘The Uprising’ and ‘Dig’
Peacock opened the month on Nov. 1 with “O.J.’s Accomplice,” a two-part documentary revisiting the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. According to TVLine, it features “new interviews with Kato Kaelin and Tanya Brown” and presents “previously unreported evidence that challenges the assumption that O.J. Simpson acted alone.” That’s the documentary’s premise, not an established finding. Simpson, who died in 2024, was acquitted of the murders in 1995 and found liable in a 1997 civil trial.
Paul Greengrass’ “The Uprising,” starring Andrew Garfield as the leader of a peasant rebellion in 14th-century England, makes its streaming debut on Peacock on Nov. 6. The film was marketed in the U.S. with the line “The Rise of Robin Hood.”
Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy star as estranged sisters in the six-episode limited series “The Good Daughter,” arriving on Nov. 12. “Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together” Season 2 follows on Nov. 19, and Amy Poehler’s archaeology comedy “Dig” drops all 10 episodes on Nov. 23.
If you missed it last month, Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film “Disclosure Day,” starring Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor as characters exposing alien existence, has been streaming on Peacock since Oct. 9.
Apple TV: ‘Stick’ returns and several season finales
Apple TV brings back “Stick” for Season 2 on Nov. 4 with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly episodes through Dec. 30. Rhea Seehorn joins Owen Wilson’s golf comedy this season. “Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook” debuts on Nov. 6.
Apple TV closes out several current seasons in the same stretch. “Brothers” and “Small Prophets” both air their Season 1 finales on Nov. 4, and “Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars” wraps Season 2 on Nov. 6, according to TVLine.
The thriller “12 12 12,” with Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, premieres with two episodes on Nov. 13. The holiday special “Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy” arrives the same day.
Paramount+: ‘Yellowjackets’ final season begins rollout
Paramount+ starts rolling out the fourth and final season of “Yellowjackets” on Nov. 20, giving fans of the survival drama its last chapter. It’s exclusive to subscribers on the Paramount+ Premium plan.
The streamer also adds two six-episode binge releases early in the month: “Big John’s Bosh! Family” on Nov. 5 and “It Gets Worse” on Nov. 6.
What’s next
Streaming dates can shift before launch, so viewers should check each platform for final confirmation closer to the premiere. Several November launches will carry into December, including “Stick,” which runs through Dec. 30.
