Tovah Feldshuh hopes “Nobody Wants This” season 4 happens, but that call belongs to Netflix, which hasn’t renewed the series. The actress, who plays Bina Roklov, the mother of Adam Brody’s Rabbi Noah Roklov, shared that hope on Threads while rejecting claims of growing tension on set, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
“I deeply enjoy filming [Nobody Wants This] and hope we are chosen to go on for a fourth season,” Feldshuh wrote. Her wording left the decision with others, not the cast.
What Feldshuh Said About Nobody Wants This Season 4
Feldshuh’s late-October reply answered a post from Azat TV, which TheWrap described as an Armenian media company. The post claimed that “tensions are emerging on the set” of the Netflix comedy.
“Tensions are NOT RISING. Profound differences of opinion are,” she wrote. “Please do not conflate the two — And none of it will be brought to the set.”
So she didn’t deny the disagreement. She said it’s growing, just not on set. Her season 4 line closed the post, and she offered no timeline for a renewal.
Why Cast Tension Rumors Surfaced
The speculation traces back to Brody’s September interview with GQ, in which he said of the war in Gaza, “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.”
Feldshuh is one of the people who publicly disagreed. In an Oct. 25 interview with The New York Post, she said, “To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild. It’s right out of Hitler’s playbook. You take the victim and you make the victim the perpetrator.” She also told the outlet that her job, “as Bina but also as Tovah, is to love the people on set at my place of work, to be kind.”
Series creator Erin Foster weighed in as well on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast. “While I love Adam, I also disagree with him, and that’s OK,” she said.
The debate has reached the show itself. In a Variety column, TV critic Alison Herman argued that the series can no longer ignore Israel and Gaza.
Where Nobody Wants This Stands Now
Season 3 arrived Oct. 22 and drew 6.2 million views in its first four days, according to What’s on Netflix. That’s down from 8.6 million for season 2 and 10.3 million for season 1 over the same span.
Netflix had not announced a renewal as of Nov. 4. Foster has said there’s “more story to tell,” and What’s on Netflix has already published its own predictions for where a fourth season could go.
What’s Next
Netflix ordered seasons 2 and 3 about two weeks after the previous seasons premiered, so an answer could come soon if the streamer sticks to that pace. That’s a pattern, not a promise. Until Netflix weighs in, Feldshuh’s post is one cast member’s hope, not a renewal.
