LCK 2026 Round 4 Day 19 Recap: Gen.G Book First Place Despite the Loss
Gen.G Esports needed a game win to be first place in the LCK Legend Group. They earned that with a dominant display. That was where their dominance ended as Dplus KIA took control of the series. That control came predominantly from Lucid. He had exceptional games on Lee Sin and Maokai. A dead rubber series between DN SOOPers and KRX followed. DNS earned their win, and they nearly won game two with a perfect game.
Lucid Carries Dplus KIA to Victory
Game one was a write-off for DK as Ruler and Duro took over the rift. Ruler earned an early double kill. Kiin also solo killed Siwoo. DK nearly recovered from the deficit, but it was not enough. The next two games were the Lucid show. He styled on Gen.G as Lee Sin, creating multiple montage plays. He helped DK recover a significant gold deficit.
He followed up that game with a dominant display on Maokai. While the plays were less flashy, he set DK up for success. From successful ganks to perfect teamfights, Lucid was instrumental in DK’s success. Unfortunately for DK, the win does not change their position in the standings. Gen.G winning game one means they secure first place and can choose their Round 2 opponent.

DN SOOPers One Fight Away From A Perfect Game
DNS and KRX battled in the first dead rubber series of the LCK Regular Season. Neither team has a chance to qualify for the Play-Ins. KRX started well with an early lead. It quickly evaporated as DNS found a pivotal mid-game fight. They struggled to end the game from that point until 37 minutes in. The second game was a very different story. DNS were on track for a perfect game until the very last moments. ON DNS’s final siege, the bot lane died as KRX went for one desperate defence.
Despite Peter and deokdam dying, DNS ended the game shortly after. Game two saw their Challengers Support, Minous, sub in for Andil. He struggled against a surging DNS, who went 6-2 in Rounds 3-4. Only DK matched DNS’s record in the latter half of the Regular Season. DNS ended the season one series victory behind KRX after a disappointing start, with Sharvel as the standout.

Who Will Join Gen.G in Round 2?
Regardless of the result, Gen.G would start the playoffs in Round. Their win in game one meant they secured first place in the LCK Legend Group. They will choose their opponent once Round 1 ends. T1 and Hanwha Life Esports will fight for the final Round 2 spot. The winner of the series will join Gen.G in Round 2. The loser will start in Round 1. That team will pick one of the two teams that qualify from the Play-Ins. KT Rolster, HANJIN BRION, FearX, and Nongshim Redforce will fight for the final two spots in the LCK Playoffs.
