T1 hit the ground running in the recent match. Peyz and Keria led them to victory in game one. Right after, Keria styled on HLE as Blitzcrank. However, the tide turned as Zeka found his way into the series. After two player-of-the-game-level performances, he took a backseat in game five. HLE secured the series with a dominant game five. Many T1 players noted that they grew overconfident after leading 2-0. One obvious mistake was picking Yone in game three. They picked him while Zeka’s Akali was available. The HLE midlaner showed why he has a World Championship skin for Akali.

Kanavi Versus Oner
In recent years, Kanavi and Oner have been at the top of the Jungle pile. Kanavi has faltered in that time. The T1 Jungler often gets the better of Kanavi. Kanavi’s debut LCK season has turned the tide in the 1v1. Kanavi has won the matchup in their more recent meetings. The jungler who wins the matchup will likely win the series. Kanavi will play in his solo lanes, while Oner focuses more on the bot lane.
Solo Lanes Versus Bot Lane
The two teams have clear identities. HLE wants to play towards their solo laners. They want to give Zeus and Zeka all the resources to push ahead in their matchups. Being ahead enables Kanavi to invade aggressively. On the other hand, T1 focuses most of their resources on Peyz and Keria. The two have shown they can take over series at will. They were the difference-makers in the first two games against HLE.
The teams will rely on their weak-sided players to keep up. Gumayusi has always done that. Doran and Faker have struggled this year. They regularly fall behind in their lane matchups. T1 has lost in this position since that point. They lost earlier last year to Gen.G Esports in the Lower Bracket Semi-Final.

Neither team should enter the series as the clear favorites. Even though HLE won the previous meeting, it was closer than they would have wanted. Losing the first two games showed T1’s prowess. Overall, HLE should have the upper hand later on in the series. They have more flexibility in the solo lanes they can take advantage of. That is not to say Faker and Doran are inflexible. Zeus and Zeka are dangerous on a variety of champions. Support is the only role where T1 has greater depth. Keria can play any champion and succeed. Once again, drafts will play a vital role in the series.
