Worlds 2026 MVK Esports Versus FURIA Preview: FURIA Seeking Revenge

The Worlds 2026 Day 3 schedule

The first Worlds 2026 meeting did not go as planned. FURIA were the favorites to win. MVK Esports defied those odds. Two days later, the CBLOL second seed had a chance to redeem themselves. After knocking out Cloud9, they are back on track. But they can not afford to make the same mistakes. The LCP third seed will punish them. After SanSan’s debut, we expect Gury to return to the jungle position.

Fast Recovery

FURIA were nonexistent in their loss. They capitulated after a couple of mistakes in the first game. MVK took advantage of that. The win over Cloud9 was a return to form. However, there is still concern. C9 is not a team that keeps its foot on the pedal. They take early advantages and then play for Drakes. MVK kept the pressure on. They will need to handle that if they want revenge. Revenge is on the cards. The LCP third seed is not infallible. However, a repeat of the first series is likely.

Worlds 2026: Player Head-to-Head

Top Lane – Kratos Versus Guigo

Kratos bested Guigo in their first meeting. Both top laners were willing to fight to the death. When both players met more stable top laners, they struggled. Expect more fighting in this series. Guigo’s struggles place him behind Kratos, but his peaks still surpass the young top laner.

Jungle – Gury Versus Tatu (Featured Matchup)

MVK subbed Gury out for the series against Karmine Corp. However, he should not stay on the bench. Not playing him against Tatu makes no sense, unless he is sick. Gury dismantled Tatu in their first meeting. Similar to the top lane, Tatu’s peak is higher. But that means nothing if he can not deliver on the day.

Mid Lane – Chika Versus Tutsz

Chika has played unique champions so far. With two picks on Kog’Maw, a Rumble, and K’Sante in his wheelhouse, he is unpredictable. Neither player had an advantage in their first meeting. Expect more of the same, but Tutsz still gets the nod over Chika.

Bot Lane – Harky Versus Ayu

The first series was not about the bot laners. Yes, Ayu made the pivotal mistake in game one. However, the other games were decided without them. Ayu tried his best in game two, but it did not matter. Ayu holds the advantage, especially after his performance against C9.

Support – SiuLoong Versus JoJo

SiuLoong did not have the best series against KC. The LEC third seed never gave him room to manoeuvre. The Pyke started well, but fell off fast. JoJo’s experience still gives him the edge. He played well in the first series.

Predictions

MVK Esports 1-3 FURIA

Stylistically, they match up better against their Brazilian counterparts. However, with more stage time and confidence, FURIA should perform better. If they learn from Karmine Corp, they will win the series. They can not afford to get sucked into the chaos. As soon as that happens, they pounce. Tatu must be wary of fighting Gury early. They will not give up any ground. The series could go in the Vietnamese roster’s favor again. That is because FURIA did not learn from their mistakes. The CBLOL second seed has the higher peak and should advance to the qualification match.

Karmine Corp Awaits

The international event is heating up. Another elimination is on the cards. The loser is out. The winner moves to the qualification match. Karmine Corp waits for their opponent. Who will earn one more shot at the Swiss Stage? Will it be the young, surprise package? Or will Brazil live up to expectations and earn revenge?
