Going into Worlds 2026, everyone saw MVK Esports as the weakest team. We were included in that regard. They proved everyone wrong. A dominant 3-0 victory has shaken the world. Game one was close. FURIA were ahead, but one mistake from Ayu cost them. MVK dominated the rest of the series. FURIA is yet to win an international best-of-five series.

FURIA had game one in their hands. It was close for most of it, but they had Soul in their pockets. However, one catch on Ayu ended the game. From there, MVK stepped on the gas. Gury was relentless. He outplayed Tatu, leading his team to a shock 3-0 victory. They stepped up in the series. They were deserved winners. However, the CBLOL second seed did not show up on the day. It was not the performance we grew accustomed to

FURIA

Guigo – 2.7

  • Jax (4), Ornn (1), K’Sante (3)

Guigo led in game one. He was the win condition. But a couple of errant plays gave MVK a route back. The Ornn performance was tragic. He had two solo deaths, giving Kratos lane control. The Call of the Forge Gods was poor. He even upgraded Rakan first, instead of his carries.

Tatu – 4.3

  • Trundle (6), Wukong (4), Naafiri (3)

For a player who usually controls the early game, he was non-existent. Gury had his number in games two and three. Tatu thought he could fight his way out of the series. But Gury matched him at every turn.

Tutsz – 5.3

  • Galio (6), Syndra (4), Ryze (6)

Tutsz was solid throughout. He had a couple of strange moments. However, the blame does not fall on him. He had to watch his side lanes and Jungler die on numerous occasions. His Galio kept them in charge until the final moment.

Ayu – 4.7

  • Yunara (3), Xayah (6) Kai’Sa (5)

Ayu, alongside JoJo, did everything they could to keep game two playable. The draft was there for them, but they did not have the gold to win. He had a couple of early deaths in games on and two, but recovered in both.

JoJo – 5.7

  • Lulu (5), Rakan (7), Leona (4)

JoJo’s Rakan was impressive. He lived most situations he never should have. He helped Ayu outplay the dive and gave them a leg to stand on. The third game was impossible for him to play. Leona always has to go in against poke compositions. If she or her team is behind, she cannot engage effectively.

MVK Esports

Kratos – 6.3

  • Olaf (4), Rumble (8), Zaahen (7)

Kratos played exactly as expected. He aimed to squeeze everything out of the laning phase. In game one, it failed. The rest of the series, it did not. He earned multiple solo kills on Guigo. The Rumble burnt FURIA alive throughout the game.

Gury – 8.0 (Total Apex Player of the Series)

  • Vi (8), Lee Sin (9), Jarvan IV (7)

Gury was by far the best player in the series. His early pathing kept Tatu quiet. The Brazilian Jungler did not know how to respond. He kept finding the angles on Lee Sin. When fights looked close, he ended the Brazilian hope.

Chika – 7.0

  • Cassiopeia (6), Viktor (7), Kog’Maw (8)

Chika improved throughout the series. There were very few moments where he was at fault. He had one bad Flash on Cassiopeia, but that was about it. The Kog’Maw was an unusual pick, but he piloted the champion well.

Harky – 6.0

  • Ashe (6), Lucian (5), Jhin (7)

Harky was mostly a passenger in the series. He was not the main character on Lucian. Kratos and Gury carried him through. His utility play was good, landing Enchanted Crystal Arrows and Deadly Flourishes.

SiuLoong – 6.0

  • Seraphine (5), Milio (7), Camille (6)

Similar to Harky, SiuLoong was a passenger. He had good and bad moments. A couple of times, he overplayed his hand on Camille. Fortunately, his deaths did not shift the gold. He was solid, but got too excited at times.
