Worlds 2026 Karmine Corp Versus MVK Esports Preview: Uncomfortable LEC Outfit Faces Rising Vietnamese Roster

The Day 2 Schedule for Worlds 2026

Karmine Corp beating Cloud9 should not come as a surprise. Even if the LCS seed was favored, KC is good enough to beat them. However, the supposed weakest Worlds 2026 team has surprised everyone. MVK Esports dismantled FURIA on day one. They now have an opportunity to do the impossible. KC is not unfathomable. If they approach the series with the same attitude, we could see MVK in the qualification match.

Defying Predictions

For day one, we predicted Cloud9 and FURIA as the series victors. However, both KC and MVK defied those predictions. KC winning was not out of the realm of possibility. No one gave MVK a chance, besides die-hard fans. They proved everyone wrong. A win would have been a surprise. But they dominated, which was the greater shock.

Worlds 2026: Player Head-to-Head

Top Lane – Canna Versus Kratos

Canna is not as dominant as expected. Thanatos is a strong player, but Canna should be better. That was not the case in the series. He was mostly quiet. Kratos dominated his lane opponent. Granted, Guigo played worse than expected. Kratos should dominate Canna, as he did with Guigo. Canna’s stability should be enough to keep Kratos at bay.

Jungle – Yike Versus Gury (Featured Matchup)

If you are a KC fan, you should be worried going into the series. Yike was shaky against C9. Blaber got the better of him until game five. That does not bode well for this series. Gury was excellent. He threw Tatu off his game. Yike can not afford to misplay against a pumped-up Gury. Yike is still favored in the matchup, but it is closer than it was yesterday.

Mid Lane – Kyeahoo Versus Chika

Both mid laners had a solid series. Kyeahoo struggled on Anivia, but was good for the rest. Neither looked like they were losing their lane. Loki getting ahead of the curve was usually not Kyeahoo’s fault. Kyeahoo’s experience should favor him.

Bot Lane – Caliste Versus Harky

Caliste took time to reach peak form against Cloud9. Once he found his footing, he delivered a quality performance. It was not the same level as when he broke out on the international stage. But it was enough to beat C9. Harky was solid. The series was not about him. Caliste should be favored in this matchup.

Support – Busio Versus SiuLoong

SiuLoong had a decent series. He did have moments where he got overexcited. The mistakes did not cost them. Busio missed the mark against C9. The start was worrying for fans. He had a stable series after game one, but it was not his best. He should have the edge in the support role.

Predictions

Karmine Corp 3-1 MVK Esports

Yike’s performance is a worry. Gury will punish mid-game mistakes. He is the only player who might struggle in his matchup. Kratos dominated Guigo, but the top lane matchup is different. Canna rarely struggles in lane. He should know how Kratos will approach the laning phase. He should be stable. He was against Thanatos. The criticism of Canna was outside the laning phase against C9. They must not fall into MVK’s trap. Playing their game will lead to a swift loss. We do not want to underrate MVK after yesterday. However, the LEC second seed is a step up from FURIA’s drop-off. Even their lows are not as low as FURIA’s yesterday.

Qualification Match Awaits

The series winner will advance to the qualification match. That will grant them a day’s break. They will play again on Sunday. The loser drops down to the Lower Bracket. They will play against the winner of Cloud9 and FURIA.
