Worlds 2026 Karmine Corp Versus MVK Esports Review: A Comfortable Win For France

Karmine Corp returned to an expected form in their second Worlds 2026 series. After narrowly beating Cloud9, they comfortably defeated MVK Esports. The LCP third seed barely had a sniff in the series. They even subbed out Gury after game one. It felt like they knew they had no chance. KC moves on to the Qualification Match. MVK will rematch FURIA in the Lower Bracket Final.

Worlds 2026: Series Summary

There is not much to say about this series. MVK came in with a lot of promise. They dismantled FURIA in the first series. But they did not get that chance against KC. The LEC third seed played slowly and respectfully. They rarely gave them the plays they wanted. Subbing out Gury was a mysterious decision. SanSan was okay. However, subbing out your most experienced player was a mistake. Their coach, SOFM, said they wanted to try something against a difficult opponent.

Player Ratings

Yike against MVK at Worlds 2026

Karmine Corp

Canna – 6.0

  • Jayce (7), Galio (5), Kennen (6)

As expected, Canna never gave Kratos space in the lane. He solo-killed Kratos as Galio against Twisted Fate. He died numerous times to ganks, but otherwise remained impactful. He would have earned a higher rating on Kennen without a couple of silly deaths.

Yike – 6.7 (Total Apex Player of the Series)

  • Vi (7), Lee Sin (6), Jarvan IV (7)

Yike was solid in the series. He shored up many of his mistakes. There were no silly deaths in the mid-game. That meant MVK never had a route into the game. He never gave Gury or SanSan space to be creative.

Kyeahoo – 6.3

  • Syndra (7), Ahri (6), Viktor (6)

Another solid series from Kyeahoo. The team never needed him to do anything special. He did his job, and that was what was required.

Caliste – 5.7

  • Draven (6), Ashe (6), Xayah (5)

He had an early lead on Draven, but threw it away. It never mattered, but he lost points. He did not need to do much in the series. He did his job.

Busio – 5.7

  • Nautilus (4), Seraphine (7), Rakan (6)

For two days in a row, Busio struggled on Nautilus. He had a couple of silly deaths, face-checking for no reason. The rest of the series was stable. He had clean engages as Rakan.

MVK Esports

Kratos – 3.3

  • Ambessa (3), Twisted Fate (4), Yorick (3)

Kratos had no space in the series. Even with SanSan’s ganks, he did not capitalize on his lead. Canna rarely allowed him to breathe. He had a couple of bad ults as Ambessa.

Gury – 4.0

  • Maokai (4)

The first game loss is not on Gury. His lanes lost before he could do anything. His subbing out is mysterious, but might have been for experience.

Chika – 3

  • K’Sante (3), Rumble (2), Kog’Maw (4)

He picked three unique champions in the series. None of them found their mark. The K’Sante lost slowly. He died multiple times to Rumble and Kog’Maw. The Kog’Maw had some value, but it took too long.

Harky – 4.3

  • Tristana (4), Ezreal (3), Lucian (6)

Harky tried his best in the series. His mechanics were a bit shaky on Tristana and Ezreal. Jumping into a Draven was a big mistake. The Lucian almost dragged them to victory.

SiuLoong – 4.0

  • Lulu (4), Pyke (3), Milio (5)

Another case of SiuLoong not finding the space to impact the series. He tried on Pyke, but MVK lacked the proactivity. Granted, KC never gave them the space.

SanSan – 3.5

  • Qiyana (4), Wukong (3)

For his Tier 1 debut, SanSan played well. He did not let the enemy get to him early. He kept up the pressure. Unfortunately, Qiyana struggled to find value against KC’s draft. He tried the same on Wukong, but the champion lacks proactivity.
