Brazil and Vietnam are two passionate fan bases. The two will clash head-on on day one of Worlds 2026. Brazil and Vietnam have met on the international stage before. MVK, formerly Vikings Esports, lost in Worlds 2024. They lost 2-0 to paiN Gaming. FURIA played GAM Esports at MSI 2025. They lost that series 3-2. Who will win in a battle between these two storied regions?

A First Meeting

The series marks the first meeting between the organisations. FURIA makes their first Worlds appearance at Worlds 2026. MVK have been here before. They were in the Play-Ins at Worlds 2024. They lost 2-0 to Mad Lions KOI and paiN Gaming.

Player Head-to-Head

Top Lane – Guigo Versus Kratos

Expect a lot of deaths between these two players. Kratos plays with plenty of aggression. He also prefers to play carry top laners. Guigo is more reserved in his champion picks. He has the higher peak of the two, but is inconsistent. He will go for silly 1v1 plays and lose. His peak and experience give him a slight edge in the matchup.

Jungle – Tatu Versus Gury

Gury will have his work cut out for him in this series. A player who prefers to power farm will need to be present. Tatu is active, either through invades or early ganks. He also has various pocket picks. If MVK wants a hope in this series, Gury must keep Tatu at bay. Tatu is the driving force and has a significant advantage.

Mid Lane – Tutsz Versus Chika

A story of stable versus unstable mid laners. You know exactly what you will get out of Tutsz. He is an aggressive laner who garners resources from his Jungle and Support. Chika is an unproven talent who can rise to the occasion. He has been one of the best mid-laners in the LCP. However, Vietnamese mid-laners have struggled internationally. Tutsz’s experience gives him the edge.

Bot Lane – Ayu Versus Harky (Featured Matchup)

All eyes will be on the bot lane matchup in this series. Harky is similar to Chika in that he is an unproven talent. Ayu has played more. He is key to FURIA’s success. Tatu and Tutsz carry the mid-game. Ayu becomes the late-game carry. Harky must be at his best to challenge Ayu in this pivotal matchup. As a result, Ayu is favored.

Support – Jojo Versus SiuLoong

Another case of veteran versus rookie. SiuLoong makes his first international appearance. He has hype behind him. However, he faces a veteran of the Brazilian scene. Jojo has been around for years. He has the longest career of the Brazilian players. SiuLoong will need to find a way past that veteran status.

Predictions

FURIA 3-0 MVK Esports

Stylistically, FURIA is favored. Gury rarely looks for early-game plays. That allows Tatu to take control of the Rift. They want Tatu in control to unleash Tutsz. Once they build mid-game leads, Ayu receives the baton and takes them to the finish line. That has not always been the case. They struggle to close out close games. The Vietnamese roster will not challenge them either early or late. The team is disconnected in the late game. They tend to play for themselves instead of as a team. The Brazilian seed can exploit that aspect. The teams also do not match up individually. They do not win any of the roles.

A Long Road Ahead

Winning this series is only step one. The winner still needs two more series victories to reach the Swiss Stage. They will play after the previous series concludes. They can face Karmine Corp or Cloud9, depending on the results.
