Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga Part 1 Trailer Revealed

Kevin Costner is still appearing in movies on the big screen. His biggest role at the age of 69 had been on one of the biggest modern westerns in Yellowstone. The production is still in the process of continuing season 5 of the drama series. It was put on pause as they have yet to finish scenes for the Part 2 version after eight episodes in 2023.

For now, Kevin Costner is working on his next film. He is the main director for his upcoming movie, Horizon: An American Saga. His new movie has been in production since last year, after he stopped doing scenes for Yellowstone.

Today another trailer for his new Western film was revealed for Part 1:

Kevin Costner’s Horizon: An American Saga Part 1 Trailer

Costner’s new film is based on the American West and the pre- and post-Civil War periods. Being a landowner becomes the source of conflict as the people of the towns that he passes through with his fellow riders experience difficulty.

Not only is owning land a key focus, but who has the proper control? Kevin Costner will play the lead role, and the main character, Hayes Ellison. He is an outsider who brings along other horsemen to ride through areas of the land surrounding Horizon. Catch the trailer here.

Horizon: Cast And Expectations

The cast members that will be a part of the film are a list of many names. They include Dale Dickey, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Tom Payne, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Michael Angarano, Thomas Haden Church, Isabella Furman, Giovanni Ribisi, and Michael Rooker.

Part 1 is just the start of what is to come. It is set to release in theaters on June 28, 2024. The great news for fans of the beloved actor is that it will be shown in two parts. Part 2 of the upcoming action film will hit the screen a short two months later.

Several scenes and other aspects are still in the production phase. But it is said to be a great modern western with a legendary cast that is putting in lots of hours to make the movie enjoyable for all to see this summer.

Kevin Costner And The Yellowstone Controversy

In recent days, Kevin Costner has spoken out about the truths behind stopping his time with Yellowstone. Originally, the star known as John Dutton signed a contract through the next two seasons, as the current Season 5 was split into two parts. Apparently, all of the production was never finished in shooting scenes for 10 episodes per season.

Action never seemed to stop in the hit drama. Love always seemed to keep a spark between Beth Dutton and Rip, even though many fans probably see Beth as the crazy daughter in the family. Either a fight would break out or death would be involved in taking what was rightfully theirs.

Jamie Dutton always liked to double-cross his adopted family, so it would give Kelly Reily more ammunition to cause chaos and havoc.

Kevin Costner is more dedicated and intrigued to continue his new upcoming film. It is hard to say when production will move forward to finish out the fifth season of the highly-rated show. The cast for Yellowstone includes Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes, Kelsey Asbille, Jefferson White, and Wes Bentley, among others.

Fans of the series have been waiting for a trailer or indication of when Yellowstone will start back up again. With the main character being away from everything, the question is: will the show make a return to Paramount Network in the fall of 2024?

Right now, obviously, Kevin Costner is focused on Horizon: An American Saga. Be on the lookout for more information as the first part comes closer to hitting the box offices around the world.
