Jessie James Decker met a bare foot on her airplane armrest with a spray, filmed the whole thing and asked Instagram what it would have done. Then she had to field a different question: Was that her husband’s foot?
The country singer shared the Jessie James Decker foot video with her 4.4 million followers in late October, according to Page Six. People and Entertainment Weekly reported that the foot came from the seat behind her.
What the clip shows
“Someone’s foot smells so bad on the plane,” reads the text over the video. Decker holds her nose and sprays the foot, which jerks away while she covers her mouth and laughs.
What she used isn’t confirmed. TV Insider described it as deodorant, while Fox News called it “some sort of spray.”
Decker saw the pushback coming. “Before you come at me … What would you have done?” she wrote in the caption.
Most commenters took her side
Plenty of followers had no sympathy for the foot’s owner. “The nerve of some people!” one wrote, according to Fox News. Another added, “I’d do just what you did!!! Spray the stinky foot!!!”
Was it Eric’s foot?
Others weren’t convinced a stranger was involved at all. Some suspected the foot belonged to her husband, former NFL wide receiver Eric Decker. “We all know this is Eric’s foot,” one follower wrote, People reported.
Decker weighed in when one commenter insisted the foot was her husband’s and said there was no way she’d do that to a stranger. “Have you seen Eric’s feet? Toeeeee UP,” she replied, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The reply knocks down that theory, but it doesn’t settle the mystery. Decker has not identified whose foot appears in the video, and coverage of the clip hasn’t named the airline or destination.
Decker’s busy fall
The video landed weeks after the Oct. 6 release of “The Secret Sauce: A Family Cookbook Seasoned with Love,” Decker’s fourth cookbook, written with her sister, Sydney Rae Bass, and their mother, Karen Parker.
Decker married Eric Decker in 2013, and they have four children: Vivianne, Eric Jr., Forrest and Denver.
She’s next set to join Jo Dee Messina for a Nov. 6 show at The Truth in Nashville, according to Entertainment Weekly.
