The Enchanted Wilds Set 18 Teamfight Tactics

Set 18: Enchanted Wilds for Teamfight Tactics is live. After a four-week PBE cycle, the set has had numerous patches. Players have had more time to figure out different compositions. They will inevitably find new compositions to run as the set evolves. For players heading into the set, we have information on the champions in Set 18. The three-cost champions have dominated the early part of the set.

Set 18 Three-Cost Tanks

Fiddlesticks

Traits: Flora Fatalis, Defender, and Spellweaver

Fiddlesticks is one of the most frustrating tanks in Set 18. With the correct items and as a three-star, he becomes unkillable. He, along with Cassiopeia, has frustrated players. He will feature in numerous compositions even in a weak state. His traits are flexible. As of writing, Fiddlesticks’ best items are Adaptive Helm, Titan’s Resolve, and Crownguard.

Hecarim

Traits: Elderwood and Vanguard

Hecarim has yet to shine in Set 18. Hecarim is not the primary tank. He is a supporting cast with his traits. Hecarim predominantly features with Aphelios in either version.

Krug

Traits: Riftbeast and Brawler

Krug is one of the best units to sacrifice on a Blackthorn Hex. The Kruglettes provide additional frontline. Krug has benefited mostly from Riftbeast shops. With Riftbeast reroll staying at level 7, you will often see a three-star Krug. Krug can fit into many compositions with one Brawler.

Rammus

Traits: Sprykin and Defender

Rammus is a narrower version of Fiddlesticks. The only composition he features in without Sprykin is with Cassiopeia. In the right compositions, he can be a frustrating tank to burn through. Rammus is the primary tank in the Tristana reroll.

Vi

Traits: Primal and Juggernaut

Vi is another flexible tank. Both Primal and Juggernaut are flexible traits. Maokai and Amumu will feature in compositions without Primal. Vi is the primary tank with either Master Yi reroll. Much like Rammus, she becomes difficult to break through as a three-star tank.

Diana

Traits: Lunar, Ravager, and Vanguard

Diana is the only three-cost melee carry without a reroll composition. One reason for that is her flexibility. Both Vanguard and Lunar give players options. She features primarily with Aphelios. The Ravager and Vanguard traits allow you to play Brambleback and Sentinel.

Kha’Zix

Traits: Rival

Kha’Zix is one of two rivals. He is the AP fighter Rival. He can feature alongside Rengar, unless you have the Unrivaled augment. At various takedown breakpoints, Kha’Zix can evolve. Evolutions give Kha’Zix one of the four traits: Executioner, Rapidfire, Ravager, and Spellweaver.

Master Yi

Traits: Blossom and Adaptor

As an Adaptor, Master Yi can be AP or AD. His current build focuses on the AP version. His BIS items are Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Titan’s Resolve, and Edge of Night. There are two Master Yi compositions. His duo carry is either Rengar or Kog’Maw. Vi will always be his frontline, paired with Nidalee for Primal and Adaptor.

Rengar

Traits: Rival

Rengar is the AD Rival. Players have experimented with his best itemization. Overall, they have found he works best with the same items as Master Yi. Rengar grants players gold after 8 takedowns. The gold granted scales with star level. After reaching enough takedowns, each takedown further gives your team AD.

Set 18 Three-cost Caster Carries

Cassiopeia

Traits: Coven and Spellweaver

Cassiopeia has terrorized in the early days of the set. Her BIS items have made her nearly impossible to deal with. Her damage is good; she is effective with Hextech Gunblade and can access the backline. She has received a significant nerf to keep her in line.

Kog’Maw

Traits: Caustic, Invoker, and Adaptor

Kog’Maw is a unit that can slot in if you have no other options. The Caustic trait grants Shred and Sunder. His one carry composition is alongside Master Yi, where you prioritize his AP form. His Invoker Trait also makes him a viable option alongside Morgana or Sentinel.

Set 18 Three-cost Marksmen

Azir

Traits: Blackthorn, Executioner, and Summoner

Azir has not had his time in the limelight. He will struggle more due to his flexibility. All three traits can fit in various compositions. He appears most often alongside Malphite, Soraka, and Zyra. If he becomes a carry, you will not build Jeweled Gauntlet, as he has the Executioner trait.

Mama Beak

Traits: Riftbeast, Summoner, and Rapidfire

Mama Beak was the original carry alongside Rengar. She has appeared less as players noticed Yi’s potency with Rengar. As a result, Mama Beak’s playtime has dropped. Her primary composition is the Aphelios Vanguard composition.

Tristana

Traits: Fae, Sprykin, and Hunter

Tristana is the least flexible of the three-cost Marksmen. All three of her traits are selfish to the units. The Tristana carry reroll composition is contingent on having the Fae Emblem. You want to avoid playing Xayah with the composition. The Emblem is also perfect for Sivir.
