The Enchanted Wilds Set 18 Teamfight Tactics

Set 18: Enchanted Wilds for Teamfight Tactics is live. After a four-week PBE cycle, the set has had numerous patches. Players have had more time to figure out different compositions. They will inevitably find new compositions to run as the set evolves. For players heading into the set, we have information on the champions in Set 18. Now for all the two-cost champions.

Set 18 Two-cost Tanks

Alistar

Traits: Elderwood and Brawler

Alistar shares his traits with Gnar. That makes him a viable option for late-game boards if you want to add Elderwood. Ezreal is usually the third unit with the pairing. Elsewhere, Alistar is a crucial part of the Yunara reroll comp as the primary tank.

Elise

Traits: Coven and Vanguard

Elise dominated a period of the PBE with her AP Fighter build. Riot nerfed that build, and it has fallen off, but could return in the future. Elise is rarely seen outside of Coven setups. She is also vital to getting Coven online early.

Scuttlecrab

Traits: Riftbeast and Juggernaut

Scuttlecrab is the more flexible version of Sejuani. Riftbeast pairs well with two other Riftbeast units. Scuttle is also a strong 3-cost tank that can add durability to your lineup. Scuttle’s Alpha Mark buff is a good addition as well.

Sejuani

Traits: Solar and Juggernaut

Much like Elise, Sejuani is a fairly narrow tank. She appears predominantly in Solar compositions. Caitlyn reroll is another composition. Either her or Scuttle Crab can be your primary tank, depending on which three-stars you hit. She will appear in Eclipse compositions that require three Solar and three Lunar units.

Shen

Traits: Inferno and Defender

Shen’s pick rate has dropped throughout PBE. He was the initial Defender alongside Leona in the Kayle reroll. However, Ornn has replaced him. Shen predominantly appears in the early game. You will usually replace him for a better Defender in the late game. One board he does appear on is Cassiopeia reroll.

Set 18 Two-cost Melee Carries

Murkwolf

Traits: Riftbeast and Ravager

Murkwolf is one of two two-cost melee carries. He shares traits with Brambleback, making them a fearsome duo. You can add Riftbeast to proc the Alpha mark. Murkwolf’s best composition is as a carry alongside Warwick. Murkwolf is more of an assassin, while Warwick eats through the frontline.

Warwick

Traits: Blackthorn and Ravager

Warwick is one of the best units to utilize artifact items. Most fighter artifacts will work with Warwick. He can also use Rapid Firecannon to increase his ability’s range. Warwick pairs with Murkwolf. His current BIS item is Spear Shojin to ensure he casts.

Set 18 Two-Cost Caster Carries

Gromp

Traits: Riftbeast and Adaptor

Gromp’s ability changes based on which damage type it has more of. Of all the Riftbeasts, Gromp has the lowest pick rate. Most compositions prefer to run other Riftbeasts or Adaptors. Some future buffs could see Gromp make an appearance.

LeBlanc

Traits: Elderwood and Spellweaver

LeBlanc is another champion without a place in the current meta. She is good for early game boards to activate Spellweaver and Elderwood. However, most boards replace her with better units in the late game. She can help with econ or to two-star your units thanks to her passive.

Teemo

Traits: Sprykin and Invoker

Teemo rarely sees playtime in late-game compositions. Sprykin is usually relatively narrow, and there are better Invokers. A Teemo reroll composition exists that relies on the Sprykin emblem.

Yunara

Traits: Blossom and Executioner

Yunara functions predominantly as an item carrier for Ezreal, Ashe, or Sivir. She is great for the early game to bolster boards. An early Yunara means you can play Blossom to buff your Wisps. Yunara is a carry in a reroll composition alongside Alistar.

Set 18 Two-cost Marksmen

Caitlyn

Traits: Coven and Hunter

Caitlyn is a fairly potent Guinsoo’s Rageblade user. She does not have mana. Every three auto-attacks from Caitlyn count as a Headshot that deals additional damage. Caitlyn appears in a reroll composition alongside Scuttlecrab and Sejuani. She is also vital to getting Coven online early.

Kayle

Traits: Solar and Rapidfire

Kayle is one of four units in Set 18 that do not use mana. Each star level for your strongest Kayle increases the potency of her auto attacks. Kayle is almost exclusively a reroll champion. You will see her alongside Solar units. Kayle needs Guinsoo’s Rageblade to be effective. She will appear in Eclipse compositions that require three Solar and three Lunar units.
