LCK Road to MSI 2026 HLE Versus T1: HLE Book Their MSI Ticket With a Statement Victory
Hanwha Life Esports and T1 earned their spot in the qualifying match for MSI. The winner would be one of the LCK representatives at MSI later this month. HLE got the better of T1 in the series in the draft and in gameplay. They looked better prepared than their seasoned counterpart. T1 will now have to get through Gen.G Esports to qualify for MSI.
LCK Series Summary

Game One – T1 Claw Back Until A Pivotal Mistake
The early game sees action towards the bot lane. Kanavi ganks early, but Peyz lives. With Gumayusi without summoner spells, it is Oner’s turn to visit the bot lane. Gumayusi dies to Peyz. The top lane starts to snowball with Doran dying multiple times. T1 also botches a bot lane dive, and it becomes difficult for T1. HLE snowballs the rest of the map, but T1 secures the Drakes. Oner dies near the Baron, and HLE takes the objective. HLE builds a 7k gold lead, and it appears T1 has no route back.
After the second Baron, it comes down to an Ocean Soul fight. Zeka dies early, and T1 wins the fight. They turn the gold around, and the game is even. Oner dies on the mid wave, and Faker follows with a teleport. He dies, and HLE wins the fight to close out the game.
Game Two – Peyz’s Sivir Shreds
T1 falls behind early after various ganks from Kanavi. The lead is not significant, but HLE continues to put pressure on with picks on the side lane. T1 tries to respond, but they never find the same value as HLE. With the game on a knife’s edge, HLE overextends, allowing Keria to catch Gumayusi, and Peyz opens up. He earns a quadrakill, and the scales tip in T1’s favor. T1 catches Gumayusi as his Featherstorm is about to come up on the Ocean Soul. They deny the Soul and start to snowball. Kanavi dies, giving T1 the advantage to end the game.
Game Three – HLE Controlled From Start to Finish
HLE takes control of the game early, thanks to Kanavi. They get three kills, and with the scaling on their side, HLE is in a comfortable position. Gumayusi dies on the Infernal Soul point after frontlining, and T1 claw back the gold. However, Kanavi takes the Drake with Oner dead. T1 tries to set up for the Infernal Soul fight, but Doran loses most of his health. He tries to flank to connect onto Gumayusi, but Delight’s Wild Growth and Polymorph stop the play. Kanavi steals the Drake, and HLE wins the fight. They end the game shortly after.
Game Four – Zeka’s Yone Reigns Supreme
T1 got out to an early lead through a couple of skirmishes in the bot side river. However, Zeka earned three kills from the early game. HLE played through the fed Yone to dominate the mid-game and put T1 to the sword. Peyz came online, but he was not enough to slow the snowball of HLE. There were a couple of shaky moments, but T1 could never safely enter a fight into the Maokai Blitzcrank combo. HLE wins and qualifies for MSI.

Hanwha Life Esports Came Prepared in Draft

The entire series, HLE had the better of T1 in the draft department. For the most part, they also looked better on the rift. While T1 did nearly bring it back from the brink, it was never their game to win. T1 was off the mark and struggled to hit their stride in the series.
T1 Versus Gen.G Esports
The fabled LCK matchup returns. Both teams have been the LCK representatives at MSI for the past four editions. That streak will break, with one of them missing out. Will it be the back-to-back defending MSI champions or the fan favorite T1 that qualifies out of the LCK?
