While Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Doomsday” is still three months away from hitting theaters, the coming sequel is already moving full speed ahead, adding to its stacked cast. Deadline first reported that “The Death of Robin Hood” star Noah Jupe is joining the cast of “Avengers: Secret Wars” on Tuesday. Noah Jupe Tapped For Undisclosed Role In “Avengers: Secret Wars”

Since Jupe’s role is being kept under wraps, it is anyone’s guess what character he is playing and what role he will have in the story. Jupe recently starred alongside Sadie Sink in the West End’s “Romeo & Juliet.” Sink plays the MCU’s Jean Grey in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” She will reprise her role as Jean in the MCU’s “X-Men” reboot, which is scheduled to be in theaters on May 5, 2028. Jupe also starred in “The Death of Robin Hood,” alongside Hugh Jackman.
That film was released in theaters on June 19, 2026. He also appeared in the Oscar-winning Focus Features movie “Hamnet.” In addition, he appeared in the second season of “The Night Manager.” Also, Tom Hiddleston is in that show. Jupe recently finished production on “A Quiet Place Part 3,” which is scheduled to release in theaters on July 30, 2027. In addition to Jupe’s resume, other notable roles include “Honey Boy,” which got him an Independent Spirit Award nomination, and “Ford v. Ferrari.”

Upcoming “Avengers” Films Inspiration
The Russo brothers, who returned to the MCU to direct both movies, confirmed to TechRadar in March 2025 that the narrative for both films will be inspired by the 1984 and 2015 “Secret Wars” comic book storylines. Joe Russo said in speaking to the outlet, “Well, we always create our own version of the story, so, we use the comics as loose inspiration. But, you know, I grew up on the original run. That’s something that got me into Marvel comic books. The Hickman run is also fantastic [and they’re] very different from each other in a lot of ways, so we’ll draw inspiration from both of them.”
Last year, Deadline’s Baz Bamigboye reported that Sink would appear in “Avengers: Secret Wars.” His article was published on the outlet on Nov. 18, 2025, at midnight. He wrote on Deadline at the time the article was published, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is scheduled to open on July 31. There has been much speculation about the role Sink has in the Spidey film, and frankly I do not know the answer, but I do know that she’ll join the cast of the next “Avengers” picture that shoots here in London later in 2026.”
Jim Shooter’s version of the storyline ran from May 1984 to April 1985. Johnathan Hickman’s 2015 version of the storyline ran from May 2015 to January 2016. Jupe’s role being kept under wraps shows Marvel’s commitment to keeping a level of secrecy around “Avengers: Secret Wars,” likely for the sake of not spoiling “Avengers: Doomsday.” It remains to be seen what character Jupe will be playing when he appears in the movie that is set to conclude the Multiverse Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “Avengers: Secret Wars” is scheduled to hit theaters next year on Dec. 17, 2027. It remains to be seen when Marvel will reveal Jupe’s undisclosed character. Jupe is repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
