LCK 2026 Regular Season Week Eight: Multiple Teams Challenging For the Final Road to MSI Spots
There are two weeks left in Round 2 of the LCK regular season. Four teams have already booked their spot for the Road to MSI later this month. Five teams are still in the running for the final two spots. DN SOOPers is the only team eliminated from contention. Dplus KIA and HANJIN BRION have the best chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Week 8 Predictions
T1 Versus KRX
Prediction: T1 2-0
KRX got their shock victory over BRO last week, and pushed KT to a third game. T1 might be a step too far for them this week. T1 has been on a tear recently, even taking down Gen.G in their final match. However, T1 can play down to their opponents.
Nongshim Redforce Versus KT Rolster
Prediction: KT 2-1
Lehends returned to the NS roster during their EWC matches. He could make his LCK return against KT. With him in the roster, NS has a chance to challenge KT. They were better against HLE, but still showed signs of weakness.
FearX Versus Hanwha Life Esports
Prediction: HLE 2-0
BFX is getting better and better with Taeyoon in the roster. However, that is still not at the level they were with Diable in the LCK Cup. HLE should dispatch of BFX, especially with them being hungry to get back to winning ways.
Dplus KIA Versus HANJIN BRION
Prediction: 2-1
The result of this match will prove pivotal in the race for Legend Group. With BRO one match away, a win will give them a chance to put the pressure on DK. However, a loss should almost guarantee DK a spot in the top five. DK is the favorite, but it could go either way.
DN SOOPers Versus KRX
Prediction: KRX 2-0
At the moment, there is no end in sight for DNS’s loss streak. They have yet to settle on their roster after bringing Pyosik back for their series against BRO. KRX is one of those teams that will not allow DNS to make mistakes.
KT Rolster Versus Gen.G Esports
Prediction: Gen.G 2-1
Gen.G’s loss to T1 was a surprise. T1 had an incredible performance in that series. Gen.G played exceptionally well, but T1 bested them. Gen.G should be better than KT, who are not at their best. KT has surprised us before, so a win for them is not out of the picture.
Dplus KIA Versus FearX
Prediction: DK 2-1
DK has numerous issues that they need to fix for the rest of the season. BFX is one of those teams where it should not matter. However, if they mess up, BFX can punish them. Especially with the roster steadily improving, it could be an upset.
Nongshim Redforce Versus Hanwha Life Esports
Prediction: HLE 2-0
Beating HLE means having strong solo lanes to contend with Zeus and Zeka. Kingen can stand up to Zeus, but Scout’s current form is nowhere near Zeka. If he can stand up to him, NS will have a chance, but that is unlikely.
DN SOOPers Versus Gen.G Esports
Prediction: Gen.G 2-0
Any result but a 2-0 for Gen.G will be a surprise in this series. DNS is down in the dumps and has little to contend with Gen.G in its current form. DNS played better last year after being knocked out of contention, but Gen.G should be a step too far.
HANJIN BRION Versus T1
Prediction: T1 2-0
The last time these two teams met, both games went to forty minutes. Since then, both have been on an upward trajectory. Both lost one series each, but have won all the rest. T1 should still be favored, but BRO has what it takes to challenge T1.
LCK Spots Secured
Hanwha Life Esports and KT Rolster have already guaranteed themselves a spot in the Legend Group for Round 3. T1 and Gen.G Esports are on the cusp of doing so as well. Dplus KIA and HANJIN BRION should qualify for the Road to MSI, but who gets the final Legend Group spot is up for grabs.
