LCK 2026 Regular Season Week 7: HLE and KT Secure Legend Group Status

LCK 2026 Regular Season Log

After seven weeks of the LCK Regular Season, two teams secured Legend Group status. Hanwha Life Esports and KT Rolster have guaranteed their spots in the Legend Group. On the other hand, T1 and Gen.G Esports claimed their spots in the Road to MSI. One win for each team in week eight will also see them guarantee qualification for the Legend Group.

One Talking Point for Every Team

Hanwha Life Esports – The Gap Closes

HLE had the perfect opportunity to move away from the rest of the pack. However, they botched it with the loss to KT Rolster. They have qualified for the Legend Group, but the top two are important. It gives the team two chances at qualifying for the Mid-Season Invitational.

KT Roster – A Lifeline

On the flip side, KT’s win has given them a good chance to finish second in the LCK. They have a one-series buffer over T1 and Gen.G Esports. With them playing against both teams, every win is vital to finish in second place for the Road to MSI.

T1 – Monumental Win

T1 rarely beats Gen.G in the regular season. To have done it now puts them in great form heading into the Road to MSI. They need one more win for Legend Group and are within touching distance of KT and HLE.

Gen.G Esports – Lacking Consistent Firepower

The biggest difference between this Gen.G and previous iterations is their consistency of execution. Gen.G never falls behind as badly as they did against T1 in game three. They also rarely throw a 6k gold lead. Both happened in one series. Granted, it was against a dominant T1 roster, but it is unlike Gen.G.

Dplus KIA – Slipping Out of Legend Group Again

DK lost out to KT last year for the legend group. That might lose it again, this time to BRO. Fortunately for them, they have an easier strength of schedule and will face BRO in week 8.

HANJIN BRION – A Winstreak Snapped

BRO went on a historic five-series win winstreak for their organisation. For a team that usually languishes at the bottom of the LCK, they have a chance to reverse their fortunes. Their upcoming series against DK is pivotal to them pushing for Legend Group status.

FearX – The Pieces Coming Together

After trading Diable away, BFX has been trying to pick up the pieces. The team was already struggling, and their having a new AD carry has shifted things. Their win over NS against Diable has shown that they are on the right track.

KRX – One Last Push

KRX has an outside chance to qualify for the Road to MSI. Unfortunately for them, they need other results to go their way. Beating BRO has given them an outside chance, but it is slim.

Nongshim Redforce – Picking Up the Pieces

Trading AD Carries and swapping Supports has not helped NS in their push for the top six in the LCK. They are languishing in second-to-last place, and could finish there if they do not figure out their problems.

DN SOOPers – Out of Contention

DNS is already out of contention for the Road to MSI spots. The organisation is on a twenty-six-game loss streak, the longest in LCK history. Nothing is going right for them, and they have a difficult week ahead.
