LCK 2026 Regular Season Day 12: Expected Victory For Gen.G and HLE
Day twelve of the LCK was one of the easier days to predict results-wise. Gen.G Esports and Hanwha Life Esports were the clear favorites in their series. They delivered the victories. Gen.G had a moment of panic, but steadied the ship. HLE continues to force their aggressive playstyle, and it is beginning to work. Gen.G and HLE will meet on Saturday in a crucial showdown for both teams.
Gen.G Esports Versus HANJIN BRION

Game One – An Early Lead Falters
BRO took an early gold lead over Gen.G in game one. They looked primed to begin an upset against the LCK Cup champions. However, thanks to Chovy and some decent teamfighting, Gen.G recovered. Gen.G’s had the better scaling composition. With the scaling and gold advantage, Gen.G dominated the mid-game. They crushed any hope that BRO had of causing an upset in game one of the series.
Game Two – Gen.G Dominated
While game one saw a glimmer of hope, game two had nothing of the sort. Gen.G controlled the game from start to finish. Chovy was instrumental again. He proved to be a pain in BRO’s and Loki’s side. His Anivia Wall placements were perfect, and BRO could do nothing besides die. Gen.G coasted to a game two victory to close out the series.

DN SOOPers Versus Hanwha Life Esports

Game One – Dive Central
Everywhere you looked in this game, someone from DNS died under a tower. Kanavi was present for the majority of the dives. DNS barely had a chance to fight back against the tank steamrolling down the hill. deokdam did his best despite the deficit, but he was HLE’s target. The game ended with a 16k gold lead.
Game Two – Zeus Picks Annie
Zeus picked Annie in the top lane. It was the first time the champion appeared in the top lane in the LCK. It did not look great as Pyosik shut him down. Zeus and Kanavi struggled in this game. Fortunately for them, Zeka, Gumayusi, and Delight picked up the pieces. Gumayusi and Delight got ahead early with Kanavi’s help. They continued to build their lead, which proved pivotal to win game two.

An Expected Result
Anything short of a 2-0 victory for Gen.G Esports would have been a surprise. Both teams should be on opposite ends of the LCK standings. It seemed like Gen.G might slip up in game one, but they crushed those concerns. After that point, Gen.G stormed ahead and never let BRO get a chance.
HLE’s Improvement
HLE’s playstyle will not change. Kanavi will continue to push the issue and go full force on the aggression. When it works, HLE dominates. Previously, the concern was when it did not work. At least in this series, they showed they can win without Kanavi. He died numerous times in game two. But Zeka, Gumayusi, and Delight picked up the pieces from him. Even Zeus had a difficult time in that game. Now they must execute against Gen.G to prove that they are on the right course.
