Chilla’s Art is a game developer that produces Asian-content horror stories with a nice touch of VHS aesthetic. These games ooze atmosphere, storytelling, and a healthy dose of anxiety no matter where you’re character’s at. If you’re one of those who just heard of this amazing developer, here is a list of seven games that will make a home in your amygdala!

1) Shinkansen 0 (Bullet Train on Chilla’s Art Express)

To ease the newcomers into this world, Shinkansen 0 will be the first stop. This horror game is a spot-the-anomalies game, so pay attention to your train car. Talk to passengers because each train car has a certain set of skills that will make or break your progress. Take the advice of those around you because, just like the train cars, the rules can shift and change. You’re not just spotting what’s wrong in the end.

You play as a young boy who lives with his loving sister and ill-tempered mother. The children are often left alone due to their mother’s job (and neglect), forcing them to handle the household and take care of themselves. If things couldn’t get any worse, your sister doesn’t come back from school one day. Then the next. And the next after that….Where’d she go?

4) The Bathhouse (Chilla’s Art of the Bath)

You play a new employee for a bathhouse in your town. You clean the baths, make sure your customers meet the criteria to be allowed in, and clean up the blood on the floor-wait, what? The story is about a father whose young daughter passed away. He discovers a website that claims it can liberate a lingering spirit and even deliver a message from beyond. The mechanics are simple: go to a local playground that the girl loved and take 15 photos of her spirit. Easy, right? You work as a night caregiver at a facility not too far from your client. Well, you newly assigned client because the previous caregiver stopped coming to work. You find a wheelchair-bound old man all alone in a dark, messy house with no family members in sight. The ominous setting holds a lingering disturbance as you go about your tasks.

This Chilla’s Art game is one heck of an ocean trip! You play as a fisherman, tasked with catching fish to make some money. Your fish dealer is an odd fellow who tasks you with finding certain creatures, but your journey soon flips on its head. You come across half-submerged buildings that are swimming with weird fish, oddball “humans,” and begin to untangle the reason behind these weird occurrences. Will you be able to handle those rough seas?
