Hulu has officially ordered a reboot of The X-Files to series, with Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel starring as two FBI agents investigating unexplained phenomena.
The streamer’s order moves forward a project Ryan Coogler has discussed since 2023. Jennifer Yale is showrunner and executive producer, while Coogler wrote and directed the pilot and serves as executive producer.

Deadwyler and Patel play FBI agents assigned to the X-Files, a long-shuttered division dedicated to unexplained phenomena. They form an unlikely bond as they tackle cases together in the mold of the original series‘ Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Both previously worked together on Station Eleven.
