King of the Hill revival series is on its way with a brand-new teaser for Father’s Day!! This is the first time any footage has been seen in the series, not including the series’ new title sequence. Hulu’s King of the Hill revival is officially on the way, and fans just got their first authentic look thanks to a brand-new Father’s Day teaser. This marks the first footage released from the upcoming series, aside from the updated title sequence.
The show’s official last episode aired on September 13, 2009, with four additional episodes ordered by Fox in 2010, which aired back-to-back between May 3 and May 6. The series is set to pick up 8 years after the ending of the last episode, “To Sirloin with Love”, with many of the cast members coming back to reprise their roles, including the late Johnny Hardwick, who recorded only a couple of his lines before passing, and the late Jonathon Joss who recorded only four episodes before he was taken from this world.
King of the Hill Teaser
The teaser reveals what Hank and his family have been up to since the last episode and previews their activities during the series itself. We see Hank in Saudi Arabia, who’s been there for work for the past few years. Next, we see grown-up Bobby being greeted by Hank with a warming “handshake”, the only way Hank knows how to greet his son. After that, Bobby and the audience are given some “Fatherly Advice”.
His first tip is to “Keep Things Simple”, particularly when it comes to beer. His second piece of advice is “There’s Always Room for Improvement.” Hank gives a Trypp driver four stars instead of 5, so the driver has something to work towards. The driver leaves annoyed, notably so. His last piece of advice is “Don’t Forget Who’s in Charge,” as Bobby tries to take over grilling duty for Hank but rejects him.
Conclusion: What The Show’s About
The official description of the show from Hulu’s YouTube page states, “After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas, to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph, and Chane.
Unlike shows like ‘The Simpsons’, ‘Futurama’, and ‘South Park’, ‘King of the Hill’ decided to grow with its fans, demonstrating that it is not afraid of change and evolving into something new while welcoming its older fan base. King of the Hill is set to return on Hulu on August 4th, 2025, and Disney+ if you have the Hulu bundle.
