LCK 2026 Regular Season Day 28: T1 and Gen.G Dominate Opponents

LCK 2026 Regular Season Log

T1 and Gen.G Esports have missed the mark throughout the LCK regular season. The matches against DN SOOPers and KRX showed why teams fear them. Both earned control early in games and never relented. They showed the gulf in skill between the top half teams of the LCK and the bottom half. The two teams will meet next week in a matchup between two famed Korean organisations.

Game One – An Early Lead Evaporates

Oner goes for a level one steal of Pyosik’s blue buff. He succeeds but not without losing his flash. Pyosik and Life punish the flashless Oner on his red buff. Oner, who is now behind, tries to steal Pyosik’s red, but dies again. With the lead, DNS tries to kill Peyz in a 3v3. However, Keria’s Encore peels perfectly, and their lead evaporates. 11 win the Rift Herald fight, and it becomes unplayable for DNS. Every fight goes T1’s favor, even when they are down a member.

Game Two – Confusing Performance

The first action took place at the first Drake. Pyosik started the objective on vision. Oner, who was level 6, walked up to Pyosik, who was level 5, ulted Pyosik, and stole the Drake. T1 picked up 2 kills from there, and the game snowballed. DNS’s first kill came at 15:30 when they were already down 6.5k gold. That kill would be inconsequential as DNS crumbled.

Game One – Gen.G Demolition

The game starts horribly for KRX as they lose the first skirmish. Unfortunately, it does not get any better for them from there. Canyon is the only player on Gen.G to die, while they build a further lead. Duro and Ruler live on low health multiple times. Ruler dies once in the game as Gen.G wins, getting 29 kills to KRX’s 5.

Game Two – Gen.G Uses a G2-Esque Composition to Win

During First Stand. G2 Esports picked Shen and Kog’Maw against Gen.G in the semi-final. In this match, Gen.G utilized those picks to win. They won similarly to the previous game, but this time less explosively. Gen.G picked up a handful of kills, with Canyon as the biggest recipient. Gen.G played a bit loose in this game, but KRX could never regain their footing.

Champions Played

KRX

  • Rich – Gnar, Renekton
  • Willer – Jarvan IV, Xin Zhao
  • Ucal – Ryze, Viktor

  • Ruler – Jhin, Kog’Maw
  • Duro – Karma, Lulu

T1 Dominate a Lackluster DNS

T1 has underperformed in moments this year. They usually make games more difficult than they should be. The series against DNS was not one of those situations. They had control from start to finish. Their control was because of DNS’s mistakes. The LCK tenth seed has had a difficult time in the regular season. They lack the cohesiveness to execute plays consistently and are falling behind individually.

A Dominant Gen.G Display

Gen.G nearly lost to KRX in their previous meeting last week. This match was completely different. Gen.G never relented, especially Canyon, who had one of his best performances of the year. Duro ended the series with no deaths. Gen.G is chasing down KT Rolster in second place following their 2-0 victory in Vietnam.
