LCK 2026 Regular Season Day 24: Gen.G Triumph While Diable’s Debut Ends in Disappointment
Diable made his first appearance in a Nongshim Redforce jersey today. It was not the debut he would have wanted for his new LCK team. NS fell 2-0 against KRX for the second time in the LCK. Before that, Gen.G Esports took a relatively convincing 2-1 victory over Dplus KIA. Siwoo’s intervention in game two meant Gen.G could not win comfortably. However, Gen.G’s victories in games one and three were swift, moving themselves to third place in the LCK standings.
Gen.G Esports Versus Dplus KIA

Game One – A Snowball Heavy Draft Fails
DK’s composition is reliant on snowballing the game to ensure they can pick out targets in fights. The only time they get a lead in the game is Smash and Career, earning two 2v2 kills. However, the top side is behind, meaning Kiin is a menace to DK. He tanks all of DK’s burst in fights, preventing DK from gaining an advantage. Once Gen.G secures Baron, it is over for DK.
Game Two – A Siwoo Diff
Siwoo and Kiin traded kills in the top lane. From there, Siwoo took over the lane. Kiin could not keep up with the young top laner in a difficult matchup. Siwoo created such a big advantage that Gen.G had no way to approach. Gen.G tried to deny Hextech Soul, but they failed to take the objective. The fight started well for Gen.G, until ShowMaker and Siwoo unleashed, turning around a 3v5 in their favor. Gen.G attempted a couple of plays, but there was no way back. DK shut out Gen.G, trying to contest for the Elder.
Game Three – Dominant From Start To Finish
DK’s only route to victory in game two was through Siwoo. They did not have that opportunity in the final game because of the draft. Siwoo had to fall behind because of Kiin’s Nidalee. It got worse for him when a fight over grubs went horribly wrong. Both he and Lucid died, giving Gen.G’s top side a lead. DK never had a chance in the game. They were so far behind that even catching Canyon in their jungle, it took multiple spell rotations to kill him. Gen.G got revenge on DK after they lost to them in Round 1.

KRX Versus Nongshim Redforce

Game One – An Explosive Mid-Game
The early game saw the teams trading blows. KRX emerged with a slight gold lead, but nothing substantial. KRX takes the Cloud Soul point and demolishes NS in the ensuing fight. Everything goes in KRX’s favor from this point on. Diable secures one kill back in the mid-lane, but that is one of three kills they pick up before the game ends.
Game Two – Diable is KRX’s Target
For the second game in a row, the early game features trades between the teams. The difference is that this time, KRX does not find a burst of fight wins in the mid-game. It remains tense until NS picks off Willer. They try to take the Baron, but their attempt fails, and they lose their grip on the game. NS fight valiantly, and it becomes a question of whether Diable can survive. Most of the time, he does not. NS with Hextech Soul and their second Baron, charges for the end. Diable steps up aggressively to try to fend off the attackers. He loses everything and eventually dies.

Siwoo The Only Bright Spark
Besides Siwoo’s dominance over Kiin in game two, DK did not match up to Gen.G today. They were second-best at every aspect. Even in the game where Siwoo had the advantage, DK struggled. Only once the rest of the team found a foothold did they push for the win. That bears worrying signs for DK, a team that wants to challenge for the top of the LCK.
NS Loses to KRX Again
Both times NS has played against KRX in the LCK, they have lost. On both occasions, it was a 2-0 in KRX’s favor. The team looked out of sorts; no one was on top of their game. Diable was often a victim and not a culprit in this game. NS was disconnected, and we will never really know how much the AD Carry trade has affected them.
