LCK 2026 Regular Season Day 17: Important Wins For DK and Gen.G
Dplus KIA and Gen.G Esports were at 3-3 records before their LCK series. Fortunately, they both won 2-0. There is still time for either team to catch KT Rolster, but the gap is not closing yet. The wins today merely kept them in the running. Gen.G needs to regain their form if they want to be the dominant LCK team that everyone knows they can be.
HANJIN BRION Versus Dplus KIA

Game One – Close But No Cigar For BRO
For the majority of the game, BRO has a gold lead. It is nothing significant, but it allows them to get closer to the Ocean Soul. ShowMaker and Lucid then find the angles in the fight, and DK takes control. For the final five minutes of the game, DK wins every fight to take the lead in the series.
Game Two – Lucid Plays Through Bot
The two botlanes fight each other tooth and nail in the early game. Lucid is the first jungler to appear, and he cleans up at level three. He visits again shortly after to dive the BRO bot lane. At the same time, GIDEON ganks Siwoo. DK crushes the Grubs fight, and the game is all but over from that point. With ShowMaker having a significant gold lead, he pushes the team forward.

Gen.G Esports Versus DN SOOPers

Game One – Gen.G Nearly Throws Away An Unassailable Lead
The early and mid-game saw Gen.G take a lead. With a lack of proactivity from DNS, Gen.G looked comfortable to take the win in game one. All of a sudden, DNS woke up, and they took the fight to the LCK Cup Champions. DNS even got themselves a Baron. All it took was one fight from Gen.G to recover, but they ended the game right after.
Game Two – A Strange Gen.G Victory
Another game where we see a jungler focus on the bot lane. Canyon got Ruler and Duro ahead, while Kiin and DuDu scrapped it out in the top lane. DNS overstayed mid-lane while Canyon took the Rift Herald. DNS made one last attempt on Gen.G’s cheeky Baron call. However, the teleport in from Kiin sealed the deal, and Gen.G ran away with game two.

Shaky Start, Comfortable Finish
DK had a shaky start to game one against BRO. It was beginning to look like their previous woes against the team had reappeared. Fortunately, they steadied themselves thanks to Lucid and ShowMaker. From that point on, it was all DK as they crushed BRO in game two. While it is only a win against BRO, it is a type of game DK has lost before. Winning will mean a lot to the team and the fans’ confidence.
Gen.G’s Woes Against a Wobbly DN SOOPers
LCK Gen.G will usually sweep aside most teams. Especially teams that have struggled in the regular season. However, it was not one of those series. It might have been a 2-0 victory, but it was closer than the scoreline shows. They had a significant advantage in game one, and almost threw it away. That is an aspect you rarely say about a Gen.G team in the LCK. They will need to steady their ship if they want to catch KT and HLE.
