Daily Devotional Wednesday Wisdom | June 17, 2026
It’s Wednesday, and time for your daily devotional. It’s great that you can make your requests known to God in prayer. No need to alert your friends or post it on social media; let God know what you need. He is the One who hears and answers prayer, and your Father invites you to bring your petitions to Him. In today’s daily devotional, as you bring your requests, bring them in faith.
Holy and Righteous God
You might wonder why you have to bring your requests to the God who knows everything. David says in Psalm 139:2, “Thou understandest my thought afar off.” But God has established order and spiritual laws that govern righteousness and holiness. Because He is a holy and righteous God, He operates in these divine principles. And He will not violate them.
Therefore, you must do it God’s way to receive the promise. In your daily devotional, when you pray with thanksgiving, making your requests to Him, God says in Philippians 4:7 that His peace “which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Prince of Peace
Peace is the opposite of anxiety and worry. There’s nothing that can replace God’s peace. All the world’s wealth, fame, or material goods won’t do it. Peace is from God. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.” Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and there’s no peace outside of Him.
The world presents a false peace that doesn’t last; a “sense” of peace is only foreboding. But God keeps you in perfect peace when you stay mindful of Him. When you pray consistently, you develop a praying spirit. In this daily devotional, prayer is a way of life for those who love God.
You’re an Overcomer

The peace of God passes understanding. In other words, there isn’t a logical explanation for it. People around you see you’re facing adverse circumstances, but you’re singing God’s praises. You pray and trust God when you receive a bad report. No one understands why you’re not worried or anxious. In today’s daily devotional, Jesus said to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. In Christ, you’re an overcomer too.
Meditate on His Word
You are to guard your heart because it determines the course of your life. Your heart represents your spirit, which is the candle of the Lord. God knows the thoughts and intents of your heart; therefore, it’s completely illuminated to Him. He knows if the tree is good or bad. When God guides your heart, it’s peaceful and at rest, but anxiety and unrest beset it when you don’t guard it.
When God guides, not only will your heart be free from worry, but your mind also will be peaceful. The enemy will try to send disturbing thoughts to your mind, but you can rebuke Him in Jesus’ name and shut them down. In your daily devotional, because you have the mind of Christ, your mind is submitted to God, as you meditate on His word and goodness.
God Offers You Peace Today
In Wednesday’s daily devotional, God told Joshua to meditate on the word to be prosperous and successful. In Joshua 1:9, God commands, “Be strong and of good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee.” God offered Joshua a life free of anxiety by meditating on Him. And He offers you the same. So pray in faith, and make your requests known.
