Due to the anime’s success rate, MAPPA decided to commence a Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe event. This cafe starts on June 20 and offers limited bonuses and items for Jujutsu fans in Nagoya, Tokyo, and Osaka.
After the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen ended with Itadori Yuji’s clap, the anime creators created the Kaitama Tamaori cafe to strengthen their bond with fans. Thus, your favorite Jujutsu characters inspire the items at this event.
Also, season two featured the Shibuya Incident, Hidden Inventory, and Premature Death story arcs, which helped us understand the relationship between Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto. So, what should we expect from this fun event?
Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe Themed Food and Drinks
Are you interested in taking your curse energy technique to the next level? As I said earlier, these food and drinks are inspired by your favorite characters from the anime with their special abilities. Thus, you could reminisce on those interesting scenes you loved while watching the anime.
At the beginning of season two, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were on a mission to retrieve the star plasma vessel for Tengen sama, but they didn’t succeed as Megumi’s father, Toji Fushiguro, assassinated the vessel.
Kaitama Tamaori Features More of Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo
One food representing the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death story arc scene and characters is the cursed spirit ball parfait. This delicacy represents Suguru Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique.
You’d see a stack of blueberry-flavored pancakes set beneath a yellow cotton candy for Satoru Gojo’s Heavenly and Earthly Self-Awakening technique. The cotton candy represents the sky. Remember when Satoru Gojo fought against Toji Fushiguro? That’s the sense this pancake represents.
Finally, there’s the Stored Cursed Spirit Pasta, which represents Toji Fushiguro’s technique. Let’s not forget the prison realm that Geto used to trap Gojo at the Shibuya incident after an intriguing fight scene. There’d be a Prison Realm Tiramisu at the event related to that scene.
Other Prominent Characters
Though the event is themed around Geto and Gojo, other prominent characters like Itadori Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki will also be part of the event. Each of these actors has unique dishes and drinks tailored to their character type. Also, to pay tribute to Kento Nanami, the event represents his aura with caramelized banana waffles and condensed milk tea as the drink.
Themed Souvenirs with Bonuses
We won’t just be eating and drinking; the Cafe event offers other special bonuses. These include sticker sets, badges, acrylic key holders, acrylic boards, postcard sets, and mugs featuring Geto, Gojo, Itadori, Megumi, and Kugisaki.
Customers who pre-order will be given one of the art panels randomly chosen from six designs for the bonus. Also, if you spend more than 3000 yen without tax on the online store, you’d have one of the original cards randomly chosen from six designs.
That’s not all. Repeat customers will be given special postcards that they can bring to the next Cafe collaboration and receive more bonuses. So what are you waiting for? Time and location?
When Is the Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe Opening?
For the Nagoya location, the event starts on June 20 and ends on July 28. For Tokyo, the event starts on June 20 and ends on August 18. Finally, the Osaka location starts on July 11 and ends on the same day as Tokyo’s.
