GTA 6 Leak Drama Just Got Somehow Dumber Following Cyberleeks’ Latest Threats

GTA 6 has been leaking for months now like a faucet nobody can shut off. The person behind all this nonsense goes by Cyberleeks, and they have decided to raise the stakes in the most financially motivated way possible. Is anyone actually surprised that this whole saga has devolved into a cryptocurrency scheme?

Cyberleeks Wants Thirty Million Or Else

The threat is simple enough. Cyberleeks says their meme coin needs to hit a $30 million market cap, and then a playable build of the game gets released to the public. That build allegedly contains the full story mode with credits and everything. You know, the thing Rockstar has spent years and an estimated billion-plus dollars making.

Cyberleeks has been running this crypto grift for a while now, tying every leak release to market cap goals. Reports suggest the coin was sitting somewhere in the low single-digit millions at the time this threat went up, though the exact figure fluctuates wildly and nobody can nail it down. Either way, it was a long way from thirty.

Take-Two Gets An Impossible Choice

There is supposedly a way out for Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar. Cyberleaks says the leak can be avoided if the company issues a public apology and commits to releasing GTA 6 on physical discs.

That is a genuinely hilarious demand because Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has been very clear that discs do not make sense for consumers anymore. He compared physical releases to vinyl records, which is a cute metaphor that ignores how much cheaper vinyl actually is than a download code in a plastic box. Take-Two is not going to apologize for a business decision, and everyone knows it.

The Nudity Thing Is Weirdly Specific

Before this full build threat, Cyberleeks released twenty-five minutes of gameplay that was deeply strange. Jason, one of the protagonists, was fully nude for a significant chunk of it. Lucia appeared topless. There was a dirt race at something called the Thrillbilly Mud Club, which sounds like a Rob Zombie movie that never got made.

Whether the nudity was actually in the game build or just something Cyberleeks modded in remains unclear. My honest theory is that Cyberleeks thinks naked characters are the only way to keep people paying attention. It is working, which says something depressing about all of us.

This Might All Be A Crypto Scam

Nobody should be surprised that the person threatening to leak an entire game is also running a cryptocurrency pump. Cyberleeks has been accused of running a scheme where fans pay to vote on what gets leaked next using the leaker’s own crypto. One person online called Cyberleeks a dork, which is honestly the most accurate assessment anyone has offered.

Another pointed out that anyone putting money into this deserves to lose it all, and yeah, that tracks. The whole physical media crusade falls apart when you realize Cyberleeks has apparently already cashed out around $270,000 from this operation. That is not activism. That is a monetized tantrum.

Take-Two Is Playing Whack-a-Mole

Take-Two has been subpoenaing platforms trying to identify Cyberleeks. Court filings show the company has sought records from Discord and Microsoft, with additional subpoenas reportedly filed with X and Google. The Google request was later withdrawn, which is the legal equivalent of knocking on a door and then remembering you do not actually want to talk to anyone inside.

The company filed DMCA takedowns confirming the leaked footage is genuine, which is about as close to an official acknowledgment as anyone is going to get. Court filings indicate Take-Two is seeking account IDs, IP logs, email addresses, phone numbers, and device identifiers for accounts tied to Cyberleeks.

The investigation is described as rapidly evolving, which is corporate speak for we have no idea what we are doing. Rockstar called the leaks heartbreaking for the development team, which is the most human thing anyone associated with this mess has said.

The Fake Build Situation Is Worse

If a real playable build does drop, the situation gets genuinely bad. Security researchers have already found a fake 113 gigabyte file circulating that claimed to be a GTA 6 build. That file was almost entirely empty data padded with zeroes, with a tiny fifty-kilobyte malware payload hidden inside. The malware tried to add the entire C drive to Windows Defender exclusions and kill security software.

The Thai Computer Emergency Response Team issued a warning about this exact kind of scam, noting that fake GTA 6 mobile apps and phishing pages mimicking Rockstar Social Club logins are also spreading. There is no legitimate playable build anywhere. Anyone claiming otherwise is either lying or trying to infect your computer.

November Nineteenth Is Still The Date

Despite all this chaos, GTA 6 remains scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Rockstar has confirmed the standard edition will cost $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition runs $99.99. Take-Two expects the launch to generate between $3.25 billion and $5.2 billion in its first week alone, which would obliterate every entertainment launch record in existence.

A PC version has not been announced. Cloud streaming on PC at launch is also not happening. The physical edition will contain a download code rather than a disc, which is exactly what Cyberleeks is supposedly so angry about.

GTA 6 Spoilers Might Be Unavoidable

The real danger here is not whether Cyberleeks actually releases a build. It is what happens if they do. A full playable version leaking a month before launch would flood social media with spoilers faster than anyone could mute keywords. The Last of Us Part 2 had this exact problem, and that game did not have a cryptocurrency attached to its leaks.

Even if most people do not download a sketchy torrent, the story beats will be everywhere. Every major plot twist, every character death, every surprise mission would be dissected and memed within hours. For a game that has been anticipated for over a decade, that is a genuinely sad outcome.

The Whole Thing Smells Like A Bluff

Here is my genuine bias on this entire situation. Cyberleeks is not a crusader for physical media rights. Cyberleeks is not exposing corporate malfeasance. Cyberleeks is running a cryptocurrency scheme with stolen video game footage as the bait, and the physical disc stuff is a thin veneer of legitimacy slapped on top.

The demand for thirty million dollars in market cap is not a protest. It is a payday. If the coin hits that number, Cyberleeks walks away rich and probably does not release anything of value. If it does not hit that number, Cyberleeks gets to keep playing the victim while releasing more nudity mods and calling it content.

Either way, the only people who lose are the ones throwing money at a meme coin hoping to see a video game early. Take-Two is not going to apologize. Take-Two is not going to print discs because a crypto grifter demanded it. The November 19 release date is happening. GTA 6 will sell billions regardless.
