Grave Seasons – A Farming Sim With Big Smiles, Buried Secrets, and A Paranormal Murder Spree!

Grave Seasons, farming horror sim with a supernatural killer in the humble town of Ashenridge

Grave Seasons transforms the expected comfort of a farming sim into a world where danger thrives beneath the soil. Ashenridge is a cozy town that’s perfect for starting a new life. From friendly neighbors to fertile lands, anyone who lives in this wonderful piece of paradise will prosper in crops, money, and love. Of course, it’s best to be aware of the price you have to pay to enjoy the fruits of labor. Something that helps the soil become so fertile and rich in man-made nutrients.

Hey There, Neighbor! Welcome to Ashenridge

After a brutal jailbreak, Grave Seasons has us escaping to the little town of Ashenridge, a quiet farming community,  your cellmate mentioned while you were behind bars. You arrive with nothing but the clothes on your back and find a good piece of farmland. You’re welcomed with open arms, meeting locals eager to assist you with anything you may need.

As time passes, your crops grow, love blooms, and bodies drop…Huh? Well, not everything is as it seems. The town is idyllic on the surface, but every friendly smile hides the possibility of something monstrous. One moment you’re reaping the fruits of your labor, and the next you’re investigating a crime scene next door. There’s a killer on the loose, and suddenly, the people start acting suspiciously of everyone. Another could be the murderer. It can be your close friend, the shopkeeper, the neighbor, or even your new lover.

Grave Seasons Wants You To Dig For Clues

The core of Grave Seasons functions as a farming simulator: You can grow produce, fish in local watering holes, mine for resources, and sell all your goods while chatting up with the latest gossip. Walking about the town, you can converse with the people and complete quests, making choices that influence and shape how the story unfolds. The more you interact with someone, the better your relationship grows, and their trust in you builds.

When a crime occurs, those trust-building exercises will come in handy for your survival. When harvesting your crops, you can sometimes stumble upon secrets and clues related to the investigation. With those resources in mind, the path becomes clearer to finding out who the killer could be. Aside from those tactics, you can also utilize the awesome ninja skill of breaking into someone’s home to gather evidence. Gather clues, craft protective items, and try to stay one step ahead of whatever is stalking the town.

The Choices Take Shape in The Story

Grave Seasons is a simulator created by Perfect Garbage and published by Blumhouse Games, a master in developing horror content. Promising scares and tension, the game demands that you pay attention, or else someone else will die. You need to make the right choices to be a step ahead of the killer and save the next victim on their list. You can’t leisurely take your sweet time performing the casual farming routine like in other farming sims. It’s a race against the killer’s clock, where if you don’t act, someone will die.

The outcomes of your actions will influence the story as you assist townsfolk with requests and form bonds with your fellow man. This can alter the killer’s behavior and eventually shift the fate of Ashenridge. Whether the outcomes create promising or devastating results, it makes the game feel like a living being, reacting to how you maneuver with the supernatural force lurking about the town.
