Diable Reportedly Traded In a Shocking Turn of Events Following Disciplinary Action 2 Days Ago
FearX moved their AD Carry, Nam “Diable” Dae-gun, to their LCK CL roster a couple of days ago. Shortly after, rumours emerged that BFX would trade Diable to another LCK team. DN SOOPers and Nongshim Redforce were leading the charge, with some mentions of KT Rolster. Ultimately, NS is Diable’s new team. NS’s own AD Carry, Kim “Taeyoon” Tae-yoon, will go to BFX as a part of the trade.
Diable Misses Fan Meeting
Diable was not willing to attend a fan meeting after what we assume was BFX’s loss to T1. In isolation, skipping a fan meeting is not enough to send a player down to the LCK CL team. However, he had repeated instances where “internal rules and basic commitments were not properly observed”. BFX made this statement on X a couple of days before their final match of the LCK Round 1.
Diable Traded to Nongshim Redforce

A day later, rumours emerged that BFX wanted to trade Diable away. Initial reports indicated that DN SOOPers were leading the race for the AD carry. Then reports came in that it might have been Nongshim Redforce or a top-three LCK team. Ultimately, NS is the team to secure the highly sought-after AD, according to reports. The teams have not made an official announcement at the time of writing. However, it is nearly guaranteed to come in the next few hours.
BFX will receive Taeyoon in trade for Diable, should the deal go through. Taeyoon has struggled to leave his mark on the LCK since returning to Korea this year. At face value, the trade seems to be a downgrade for BFX. However, there are clearly internal issues that have led to the trade occurring.
The trade’s rushed nature was due to the Round 2 window closing soon. Teams have until tomorrow to finalise their rosters for Round 2 of the LCK. If it took too long, Diable and Taeyoon would not be able to play for their new teams until Round 3. Round 3 takes place after the teams return from the Mid-Season Invitational and Esports World Cup.
Nongshim Redforce Emerge As the Winners

Many have spoken about Diable’s prowess in the LCK. He was one of the reasons why BFX finished second in the LCK Cup. He, along with Kellin, formed a fearsome bot duo. However, in recent matches, Diable’s performance has dropped. He and BFX have struggled to accrue wins since their disappointing loss to G2 Esports at First Stand. At his peak, Diable can be the best AD Carry in the world. With Son “Lehends” Si-woo by his side, Diable can soar.
BFX, on the other hand, receives an AD Carry who has struggled for consistency in the LCK this year. BFX is a team built on the success of their bot lane. If Taeyoon can not step up, we may see BFX drop in the standings. They could go from First Stand representatives to last in the league in a matter of months. That leads us to believe internal issues must be the reason for the trade. There is no way BFX is willing to trade their best player, unless he has caused issues behind the scenes.
FearX Play Versus Dplus KIA Later Today
BFX plays against DK later with two changes to their roster. Lee “VicLa” Dae-kwang returns to the team, while Kim “Slayer” Jin-young makes his first LCK appearance. Even with Diable in the roster, DK would be the favored team. Diable and Taeyoon should make their debuts for their new teams later this week.
