Epic Reveal: “Avengers: Doomsday” Tickets on Sale July 20 Week; Apparent Runtime Revealed
Disney will put premium-format tickets for “Avengers: Doomsday” on sale next week, The Hollywood Reporter has learned, a move that shows that Marvel Studios is already building momentum for what promises to be one of the year’s biggest films in theaters. Marvel’s next big bad is Dr. Doom, who will be played by Robert Downey Jr., who previously played Iron Man in the MCU.
“Avengers: Doomsday” Tickets On Sale For Next Week

The studio plans to begin selling domestic tickets on Monday, July 20 for select large-format screens branded as Infinity Vision. The summer ticket sales apply only to those premium screens; general ticket sales were not disclosed, and Marvel chose not to comment. The move for the Infinity Vision format comes in the wake of Warner Bros. securing exclusive IMAX runs for “Dune: Part Three” for three weeks following both films’ Dec. 18 releases.
The new branding is meant to identify the largest, most premium screens for the studio’s tentpole releases. In addition, Infinity Vision tickets will be available for the re-release of “Avengers: Endgame,” titled “Avengers: Endgame Encore.” The early ticket sales are set to precede Marvel’s presentation at San Diego Comic-Con next Saturday, July 25. It is expected that the studio will show the audience the first full “Avengers: Doomsday” trailer at Hall H. It has also been expected that there will be an online release of the trailer, given the early ticketing plan for “Avengers: Doomsday.” The trailer for the film was shown exclusively to audiences at CinemaCon back in April, but wasn’t released publicly.

In speaking with Sound Sphere, along with his brother, Joe Russo spoke about why Dr. Doom looks like Tony Stark. He said on Sound Sphere magazine, “No better actor in the world than Robert Downey. I’m not going to give away anything. It will all make sense when you watch the movies. What we love about telling these stories is that they’re serialised. This is a giant experiment. Nobody’s ever done anything like this before. Marvel’s unique. You’re taking all these different franchises and combining them into overarching stories. If you’re a fan of the comics like I was, I still have my comic book collection. I’m 54 years old and the idea of…That’s shifting and changing and surprising you and then reinventing itself and then shifting and changing and then surprising you. That’s exciting. So get ready for it. We were with Robert earlier and we’re both talking about this concept that we are back to phase zero. This is starting over from scratch. We want to make sure everybody feels like we’re not leaning on anything from the past. This is going to be a you’ll see when you see the movie, a complete new direction.”

Movie Runtime Revealed For The Movie
Disney lists the runtime for “Avengers: Doomsday” as 165 minutes, or two hours and 45 minutes. While the final cut of the film is unlikely to be locked this far ahead of release, the decision to sell tickets on a set schedule means any change to the runtime is likely to be small. At 165 minutes, the movie would be longer than “Avengers: Infinity War” (149 minutes) but shorter than “Avengers: Endgame” (181 minutes).
“Avengers: Doomsday” reunites many familiar faces from across the Marvel universe as the heroes face a new threat: Dr. Doom. In addition, fans will see other characters from Marvel that have not been revealed yet. Many speculations have been made on the unannounced characters, who likely won’t be revealed until the movie comes out. The movie will be followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which is scheduled for Dec. 17, 2027.
What Fans Can Expect
For fans, the early ticketing and the reported runtime are signs that Disney is positioning “Avengers: Doomsday as a major theatrical event for 2026. The timing of the early ticket sales, just five days before Marvel’s Comic-Con presentation, shows that Marvel is going all-out to push momentum for “Avengers: Doomsday.” Speaking at CinemaCon back in April, Chris Evans explained why he decided to return as Steve Rogers. Per Fiction Horizon, he said, “I said I would only come back if there was a real reason, and in Doomsday, there’s a very real reason why these heroes need Steve Rogers.”
The film’s ensemble cast and the return of the Russo brothers as directors and RDJ add to the already hot anticipation. With the multiverse in danger of collapse, the return of established characters, and a complex villain at the center, audiences can expect a large-scale, crossover spectacle that is finally bringing the Avengers, the X-Men, the Wakandans, and the Fantastic Four together on one screen.
The Film’s All-Star Cast
The all-star cast of “Avengers: Doomsday” includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Letita Wright as Black Panther, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent.
In addition, the cast also includes Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Kelsey Grammar as Beast, Tenoch Huerta Mejía as Namor, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom, and actors that have not been revealed yet will be in the movie. “Avengers: Doomsday” will hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2026.
