Dispatch heads to Android and iOS on Dec. 9, and the first four episodes of the superhero workplace comedy are free. The mobile launch is part of AdHoc Studio’s first-anniversary celebration, which also brought new Commentary and Storyboard modes to Deluxe Edition owners on other platforms.
The mobile edition has been rebuilt for touch controls and vertical play, though players can still switch to the original horizontal layout. The first four of the game’s eight episodes are free, and the full game unlocks for $19.99, with prices varying by region. The mobile version also supports Google Play Games on PC.
Dispatch follows a former superhero who takes a desk job at the Superhero Dispatch Network, where he manages a team of ex-villain misfits. AdHoc says the game has passed 5 million players since it launched Oct. 22, 2025.
Dispatch Mobile Release Date and Platforms
- Date: Dec. 9, 2026
- Platforms: Android and iOS, with Google Play Games support on PC
- Price: $19.99 to unlock the full game; prices may vary by region
- Free content: First four episodes, or half the game
Why AdHoc Is Giving Half the Game Away
Nick Herman, co-creative director of Dispatch and chief operating officer of AdHoc Studio, told GamesBeat the studio isn’t a mobile game company and sees the launch as an experiment. The free first half is a bet that players will stick around, because “the more you play, the more invested you become,” Herman said.
New Anniversary Content for Deluxe Edition Owners
The anniversary update arrived Oct. 22 as a free download for Dispatch Deluxe Edition owners on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S. It adds a Commentary Mode with more than 16 hours of cast and crew commentary, including Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Erin Yvette. Players choose a Cast or Crew track, and their dialogue choices unlock different commentary.
A new Storyboard Mode lets players experience the entire game through its original storyboard animatics rather than the finished animation. Standard edition owners can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10.99.
Dispatch: Night Shift Brings the Soundtrack to Los Angeles
The anniversary also includes Dispatch: Night Shift, a one-night concert Dec. 3 at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles. Composer Andrew Arcadi will perform the game’s score live alongside soundtrack artists Thot Squad, Bershy, Primer, Caroline Kingsbury and Fartbarf. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.
What’s Next
The concert takes place Dec. 3, six days before Dispatch hits phones Dec. 9. AdHoc Studio email subscribers get first access to concert tickets.
