Daily Devotional Thoughtful Thursday | June 25, 2026
It’s Thursday, and time for your daily devotional. When reflecting on God’s goodness, you remember He loads you with benefits according to Psalm 68:19. Some may be on the fence about God’s goodness because they see so much evil in the world. However, it doesn’t come from God. In today’s daily devotional, we’re all guilty of wrong, but God is always good.
Trusting God’s Goodness
God is Righteous, and He is your Provider even in the midst of the world’s failures. Life’s difficulties do not negate God’s goodness. His goodness is a fact. James 1:17 says every good and perfect gift comes from God. However, there is an explanation of why evil exists in the world.
Those who question God’s goodness or blame Him for their troubles should recognize there’s an enemy of all that’s good on earth. He has a host of evil angels called demons assisting him in his wicked work. Also, you have a sin nature to contend with; your flesh rebels against God. In today’s daily devotional, God is the giver of good things.
God is Good
The KJV and other Bible versions are translations of the original Hebrew and Greek texts. Translators know it’s impossible to translate one language into another perfectly, as some words don’t have an exact translation. So they settle for a word with the closest meaning. Each language has its own distinctions and nuances. Hebrew Bible translators translated verbs meant to be in the permissive sense to the causative sense. That’s why it’s best to study the original language before interpreting scripture, unless you’re given divine revelation.
Even though the Bible includes passages that are researched and studied, there are nearly 200 scriptures that clearly proclaim God is good, and He bestows His goodness upon us daily. Believe the report of the Lord, not the lies of the enemy. In your daily devotional, remember, Satan is the Father of Lies, while God’s truth endures to all generations.
Some of God’s Benefits

Psalm 103 provides a list of the benefits flowing from God’s goodness to us. The first benefit in this powerful psalm is God’s forgiveness. Everyone needs forgiveness. Secondly, He heals our sicknesses. Isaiah 53:5 says that we are healed by the stripes Jesus bore. That means 2000 years ago, at Calvary, the stripes laid on Jesus’ back were for our healing. So we can receive the healing God provided for us today.
Next, God saves us from destruction and shows us kindness and mercy. Also, He provides us with good things, restores us, and shows us righteousness. If the previous benefits aren’t enough, God is slow to anger. In this daily devotional, God doesn’t punish us according to our sinfulness. He extends His grace and mercy.
The Ultimate Giver
The Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God not only created us, but He also provided restoration for man who had been separated from God by his sins. In this daily devotional, as a believer, you’re commanded to walk in love. Minister Kenneth E. Hagin used to say that if you’re not receiving God’s benefits, check your love walk.
He Gives You Daily Benefits
In Thursday’s daily devotional, as you reflect on God as a giver, thank Him for redemption, forgiveness, and restoration. Thank Him for providing healing and giving you His mercy and grace. In today’s daily devotional, thank God whose marvelous goodness ultimately makes Him your Giver of Daily Benefits!
