It’s time for your Wednesday morning daily devotional. Some people don’t believe healing is theirs today. However, throughout Scripture, healing is a major subject, and there’s undeniable evidence that God wants you healed. In your daily devotional, healing is God’s will for your life.

Keeping His Commands

Solomon knew the importance of obeying God’s Word. Although he strayed after marrying foreign wives, he concluded that fearing God and keeping His commands are man’s entire duty. No god heals like the God of Israel who arises with “healing in His wings.”

In Psalm 30:2, David exclaims, “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” David obviously needed God’s healing when he cried out, and he received the healing he believed God for. In today’s daily devotional, God has already provided your healing by the stripes laid on Jesus; all you have to do is receive it.

Attending to God’s Word

In Proverbs 4:20, Solomon prioritizes attending to God’s Word. This verse emphasizes the importance of listening to wise teaching and reading God’s Word. The Word is life-giving. It guides you in darkness by lightening your path. It points you in the way you should go.

Verses 21-22 say, “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Solomon counsels you to have God’s Word before you. In this daily devotional, read it, study it, and meditate on it daily.

Keeping God’s Word in Your Heart

Keeping God’s Word in your heart means it’s vital to your life. Your heart is one of the most necessary organs in your body.  Without a healthy heart, life wouldn’t be as energetic. Spiritually, your heart represents your innermost being, your spirit. It’s the part of you that connects to God, for God is a Spirit, and those who worship Him do so in spirit and truth.

When you were saved, you received a brand new spirit. Your body became the temple of the Holy Ghost, who lives inside your spirit. In your daily devotional, you feed your spirit by keeping God’s Word in your heart; you are spiritually strong and vital to the Kingdom of God.

Life-giving Word

The Word of God and life are connected. In John 6:63, Jesus declares, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” In John 10:10, Jesus describes the distinctly opposite purposes of Himself and the evil one. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus comes to give life abundantly. When you are connected to Jesus, you’re connected to the life-giving Source. In this daily devotional, when you read God’s Word, His life flows into you.

Searching the Word

Minister Nancy Dufresne says you must be interested in God’s Word. How interested are you in receiving life from God’s Word? Then you must search the Word by studying to show yourself approved unto God. Jesus is the Word made flesh, and He is the way, the truth, and the life. There’s no life outside of God. A person can live a natural life but be spiritually dead. In your daily devotional, your spirit is alive unto God, and in Him you live, move, and have your being.

Healing is the Father’s Will for You

In Wednesday’s daily devotional, God’s Word is “health to your flesh.” Your body is emphasized here. One’s spirit doesn’t need healing; it needs recreating. God’s Word imparts healing. Psalm 107:2 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” In today’s daily devotional, Jesus came to do His Father’s will, and He was found healing the sick. Therefore, healing is the Father’s will.
