It’s time for your Tuesday morning daily devotional. If someone gives you wise counsel and teaches you God’s truths, listen intently. Leaders who teach you the truth of God’s Word aren’t plentiful. Good leaders teach God’s goodness, which includes healing for your body. In today’s daily devotional, don’t let medical science make you doubt God is your Healer.

Listen and Follow

Before Moses went up Mt. Sinai for forty days and nights, he spoke to the children of Israel. In Exodus 23:20, He told them that God sent an angel to protect them, and they were to obey his voice. The angel would take them into the promised land where they’d face enemies like the Amorites, Perizzites, and Hittites.

Moses cautioned them not to bow down to their gods or live like them. God promises to cut off their enemies if they obey His commands. In your daily devotional, listen and follow God’s Word because it leads to life.

Serve the Almighty

In verse 25, Moses teaches the importance of serving the Almighty God: “And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”  The Hebrew word for “serve” means devotion, work, and worship. It’s committing one’s life to God.

Barach, the Hebrew word for “bless,” means to empower with abundance and success. God will “bless” or supernaturally supply your needs. In this daily devotional, when you serve God faithfully, you can look to Him to meet your every need.

Be Faithful to His Promises

God is a covenant-keeping God; He’s faithful to His promises. God requires Israel’s devotion, while promising to meet their basic needs for food and water. Your relationship with God isn’t just spiritual, but it’s also practical, with tangible blessings in your everyday life. God blesses you in every area, even in ordinary, daily matters. God perfects all that concerns you. In your daily devotional, God doesn’t lack; He supplies all your needs “according to His riches in glory.”

God is Your Healer

In this verse, God cares for them spiritually, practically, and also physically. God isn’t distant or aloof, sitting on a throne in heaven watching them suffer. His will is for them to have strong, healthy bodies; therefore, He promises to take sickness away from them. Sickness is from the enemy, but God’s power defeats it.

God is sovereign, and Satan’s power crumbles with His command. This isn’t a blanket promise that you’ll never experience sickness, but God’s people can look to their covenant God for their physical needs and trust His promises. In this daily devotional, say out loud, “God is my Healer!”

God Protects, Provides and Heals

This verse reveals a covenant principle. It’s a mutual, two-sided covenant. God fulfills His part, and His people fulfill theirs. When God’s people serve, He will bless and take. Notice God’s part is always more. When you take one step, God takes two. Doing what you’re able allows God to supernaturally do what you’re not able to do. God protects, provides, and heals. In your daily devotional, praise your covenant God who faithfully watches over you.

God’s Power is Available to You

In Tuesday’s daily devotional, God’s promise of provision and health foreshadows Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5:33. When you seek God’s Kingdom first, He provides your material needs: “for all these things shall be added unto you.”  Jesus told Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin, “There’s enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one.” In today’s daily devotional, God’s blessings and healing power are available to you now.
