Crunchyroll is the exclusive home for The Apothecary Diaries in most regions. All 12 episodes of the first cour will stream on Fridays through December, according to CBR, when an original theatrical film releases before the second cour begins in April 2027.
What To Expect In Episode 2
After the Season 3 premiere established the threat of a locust plague and introduced the mysterious White Lady offering a dangerous cure, Episode 2 continues building the story. The season takes Maomao away from the imperial palace, where she worked in earlier seasons, and back to the Pleasure District, where she now lives and works at an apothecary with her younger brother Chou-u. Jinshi, revealed last season as the emperor’s younger brother, carries on his palace duties while the two navigate a widening distance between them.
Apothecary Diaries Season 3 Schedule And Theatrical Film
Producer Takao Iwata told Polygon that Season 3 marks the series’ “biggest year yet,” with the 12-episode first cour airing weekly on Fridays through December. An original theatrical film featuring a completely new story by creator Hyūganatsu will release in December between the two cours. The second cour begins in April 2027.
