“The Voice” opened season 30 with 7.8 million viewers over seven days on NBC and Peacock, according to Variety’s ratings report. The singing competition’s premiere improved on last fall’s opening, though its audience remained below the season 27 debut in spring 2025.
The Voice gains viewers across platforms
The seven-day total combines Nielsen’s NBC audience measurements with Peacock streaming data supplied by NBCUniversal. It represents a 5% increase over the season 28 premiere. The separate three-day comparison rose 57% from last year, and NBCUniversal called the episode the show’s most-streamed installment.
NBCUniversal also reported a reach of more than 19 million people who watched some portion of the premiere across platforms. That reach figure is a different measure from the 7.8 million audience total; the two should not be treated as interchangeable.
Beyond television, premiere-related videos accumulated 337 million social media views Sept. 21-25, according to Sprout Social data cited by Variety. Those views are separate from the episode’s television and streaming audience.
New coaches and live-show changes
Queen Latifah and Riley Green joined Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine on the coaching panel this season. Clarkson and Levine also appeared in the season 29 premiere, which featured John Legend.
NBC’s season announcement says the live shows will air simultaneously on NBC and Peacock in all time zones, with SMS and TikTok voting and same-night results. The announcement distinguishes those live shows from episodes available on Peacock the next day.
The competition airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Find more viewing news in our TV and streaming coverage.
