VisionQuest Premiere Arrives Oct. 14 With Two Episodes

VisionQuest premieres Oct. 14, 2026 on Disney Plus with two episodes at once, according to Polygon. The limited series marks the return of Paul Bettany’s Vision to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the events of WandaVision.

VisionQuest closes out a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued through Agatha All Along, Polygon reported. The eight-episode series follows Vision as he processes the aftermath of Wanda Maximoff’s death and searches for the pieces of his fractured family.

VisionQuest Release Date And Platforms

  • Date: Oct. 14, 2026
  • Platform: Disney Plus
  • Premiere format: Two episodes
  • Episode rollout: Two episodes weekly after premiere, then one per week for the final two
  • Total episodes: Eight

The release pattern shifts from two-episode drops to single episodes as the series heads toward its finale, giving the back half a slower pace than the opening week.

What We Know About VisionQuest

Much of VisionQuest unfolds in a digital space within Vision’s own mind, according to IGN. Inside that world, Vision interacts with AI personas from across the MCU, FRIDAY, EDITH, JARVIS and Ultron, with James Spader reprising his role as the villainous AI.

In the real world, Vision encounters a teenager who is the reincarnation of his son Tommy. That dual structure, part memory, part reality, sets up the central mystery of the premiere.

For those catching up: Vision was built from JARVIS’ programming, placed in the body Ultron designed for himself, then empowered by Thor. He wields flight, super strength, intangibility and a beam from the Mind Stone, and is among the few MCU characters able to lift Thor’s hammer.

Vision’s bond with Wanda Maximoff anchors the emotional core. Polygon describes the show’s framing of that loss: “What is grief if not love enduring?”

Why VisionQuest Matters

As the conclusion to the trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along, VisionQuest resolves storylines Marvel has built since 2021. Multiple AI characters appearing in human form, alongside Ultron’s return, signal the series pulls threads from across several MCU properties.

The premiere picks up directly from WandaVision and Agatha All Along, with Tommy’s reincarnation storyline connecting to Wanda’s arc.

What’s Next

The second batch of two episodes arrives the following week, per Polygon’s schedule, followed by weekly two-episode drops until the final two episodes release individually.
